I don't see how you could give Clottey 9 rounds...

I thought Clottey clearly won also. I mean it was a close fight, but I think Clottey did more than enough to win that fight. And it was all Arum's fault why he lost it.

9-3 is way too wide. I might rewatch and rescore it later tonite, but I think I had it 114-113 Cotto.

LMAO LAMO LMAO they should have had a shot of Arums hand going in Lampleys pocket and stuffing bills in with the spin doctoring Lampley was doing for Cotto. I love Lampley but he was outright shameless with his babying and excuse making for Cotto. "Great Body Slam By Cotto" or "Cotto accidently hit Clottey on the back of the head in the heat of the moment". Thread starter is right Clottey won that fight by alot and the only reason it wasn't stopped on the cut was because Cotto Arum and even HBO thought he was way behind on the cards, which he should have been. HBO & Top Rank needed Cotto to win that fight to set up a MEGA fight which isn't all that mega. It's a Top Rank card that already has excuses written all over it, no matter who wins it will be drama and finger pointing and bull****. The Clottey fight was such bull**** because in order for this circus to happen with Pac Vs Cotto when theres no need for that fight at all, Clottey had to fall and he was the perfect guy for it too. They played him and us like fools and tried to use emotional bull**** to sell Cotto as a warrior with courage. they sell us that because the unbeaten skilled fighter **** went out the window awhile ago, he proved against Jennings and Clottey that his skills are almost as overarted as his will and stamina, so now they make him seem like he's here on sheer will alone. 9-3 is reasonable.

Exactly, probably the best post ive seen about this fight on this forum PERIOD.. ALSO I WANT TO REPLY TO ANIMALISTIC about cotto winning rounds 10,11,12..clottey clearly won the 10th round 2 left hooks at the end dont make up for 2 minutes and 40 seconds of the round where your getting ripped with combinations..and i just watched the 12th round again and it could of went to clottey because he landed a combination at the end of the round and he was chasing cotto around for most of the round and landing punches. look I AM NOT QUESTIONING COTTOS HEART BUT FIGHTS ARE NOT SCORED ON HEART AND DETERMINATION, SORRY.

I did watch it on high quality several times and let me say it was 6 rds a piece and the the knockdown made the difference...Cotto won and we can argue about this left and right but it's in the books now so it's a mute point. Just like Pacquiao won v Marquez II 6 rounds a piece and the deciding factor was the knockdown Pacquiao scored on Marquez. As far as the books, hell I can argue all day long how Castillo beat Mayweather or Quartey defeated Hoya, or Hoya over Trinidad or Santa over Casamayor, etc, etc, etc, but you know what...it's in the books point blank and simple...so get over it homie and continue your support for boxing cause it's the greatest sport.

I had almost the same score for Clottey. The Numbers don't lie. He out landed Cotto in just about every round.
