Dawson is a hypejob. He was almost KO by feather fisted Johnson and has been fighting shot 40 year old fighters for the last 2 years in front of 1,500 people paying $12 a ticket.
Calzaghe is 37 years old, he can retire like a TRUE CHAMP if he wants. I'm not Calzaghe's biggest fan but this ducking Dawson crap is just straight BULL. He is what, 26? He can SO MUCH TIME to build his own legacy, him and Calzaghe are from different eras almost; it's the way it should stay.

For a start he would have to outbox Wlad because he would not KO him, he could not KO Roy Jones so what chance Wlad ?
Calzaghe is considerably smaller than Wlad in height and reach, even if he did use angles he would still get caught on the tail end of Wlads shots when pulling out.
Calzaghe is delusional.

People couldn't mention Calzaghe without mentioning how much he avoided Dawson. Max Kellerman pointed out that this man was definitely the last real opposition, that's a sign of american acceptance. I'm sticking to this opinion, based on the reactions here on Boxingscene when Joe retired, every american called Joe Calzaghe a ***** for not fighting Dawson, come on man, that's a sign.

Calzaghe must be dreaming or high if he thinks he can beat Wlad. He doesn't have much power, and just like his last 2 fights against aged legends he's likely to suffer anther first round knockdown. Only this time he wouldn't get up. Looks like he's doing his best to stay relevant.

Classic example of a guy being just a tad arrogant, and overly full of himself. I remember those days well. Between the ages of 16, and maybe 25 (most of the time I was in the military), I felt I was 10' tall and bulletproof, and there wasn't a man alive who could take me. Granted, I still feel like there would've been very few who could've done the job, but realize now at least that I'm not bulletproof, never was. But I got that proven to me while I was still in the service. I was probably 30 before I started seriously considering that I might not be the toughest guy on the planet.
Calzaghe should take on Wlad, if he thinks he can take him. It'd be a wonderful lesson in humility for him.
[EDIT]
By the way, I am a big Calzaghe fan.
