Or go sell donuts on the streets of Manila.
or cancel this fight and let cotto earn his 15m in 5-10 years while pacman will buy 1000 branch of Krispy Kreme Doughnut in manila

145 is a condition of the fight but still lies within the WW limit so the belt could be on the line IMO.

i can't believe people still don't understand this.

any limit set between 140-147 is still a welterweight bout. thus belts can be on the line....

147 is the MAXIMUM LIMIT for a welterweight bout...

Yeah. How can they want the belt if they are making him weigh in at 145. Either fight at 145 for no belt or fight at 147 with the belt.

Yeah but if you wanted the belt, why would you handicap your opponent and tell them not to weigh more than 145.

                handicap? wtf...

first of all, cotto agreed in the 145 catch weight. he was the one who proposed it in the first place.

second, all pac's camp want is that cotto do not come too heavy. pac's gonna weigh around 147-148, and cotto's gonna weigh 160++ even if this fight is at 145.

he's not trying to handicap his opponent. he's trying to make cotto's size advantage less drastic.

im not saying its right, but i can understand where pac's camp is coming from with this weight.

i would love for this fight to be at 147 and for cotto's belt.

The last time I checked WW was 41-47. Im pretty sure 45 falls within that range. Hence WW fight. Basic logic, try it.

Let Cotto come in at 146+ and claim the glory that comes with allowing your opponent to weigh in at the weight boxers have done for over a hundred years. Pac isn't bigger than boxing's history or heritage; some fans fans need to realise that.
I guess Sweetpea robbed his legacy by fighting JCC at 145, oh wait nevermind that doesn't get talked about 16 years later.

On that note this topic has been done to death. If a catchweight has been used in the past for a title fight why the **** can't it be used again? Y'all need to STFU & appreciate what us fans are in for with this fight, not moping over 2 lbs or a ****in world title.

The people talking need to learn some history before barking. Cotto's belt is meaningless if he loses. Furthermore, Pac is going for history here so If i were in his position financially I myself would step up and pay the fee to try & make history.
