    My guess is because it helped him to fill the week up while he fought top competition later or that next week. Please tell me youre not serious.

                Yeah because they had to make a living. They made good money but not like todays fighters who can fight 2 times a year and make millions

                  Well if you had a brain you'd use it and think that the old time fighters fought a lot more often than the guys today for chump change and you don't get to 200 fights fighting only elites.

                  The money offered plus toon-ups were always good.

                  Did you see the ATGs and great fighters on his record?

                    well he did have 200 fights. He fought practically every month. You expect him to fight a guy who is 50-0 every month?

                    Besides, records can be pretty deceiving. Back then losses weren't the end of the world like they are today. Plenty of tough son of a bitches who had 10, 20 or more losses on their records.
