I see why Haye backed out, he got a **** contract from both Klit brothers but then again i'm disappointed that he agreed to sign Vitali and then back out all of a sudden.

A little disappointed that I won't get to see his head bounce off the canvas till at least next year.

Haye said today "Holyfield is my big idol" .. Surely he's kidding?

Did THE REAL DEAL Holyfield ever talk trash for 2 years, calling people out and calling them names and then back out of a fight? THE REAL DEAL fought anybody, anywhere regardless of contracts or terms.

The only thing that annoys me about Haye is the inactivity i been away for the last week and haven't got a clue about the contract stuff, i am not a bandwagon fan so i don't care what people think really people can support who ever they want without having to put up with other fans talking ****.

If Haye lets his fans down again, he'll lose almost all of the few he still has.

This is a biased poll. No matter which option you choose its a bold-faced slap towards haye. Negotiations and contract disputes often ruin what would be marquee match-ups. Some fighters refuse to be anyones puppet, and you have to respect that.

He gave his word to HBO, K2 and Golden Boy that he would fight Vitali on Sep 12, while at the same time negotiating with a softer opponent, Nicolay valuev.

I'm going to stop you there.

No he didn't give his word. He was in negotiation but he didn't sign because Vitali was demanding the same absurd contract that Wladimir had with Haye.

Haye realised this was totally unworkable - financially and in terms of career progression - so he moved onto a potentially easier fight. Thus, should he win against Valuev he will be in a far stronger NEGOTIATING position as well as having more money.

No I'm not disappointed in him. I'm happy for the guy.

When hearing he had not signed to fight Vitali i was initially disappointed and annoyed. However, once realising he was going to fight Valuev I was pleased. It means he's doing it his own way, and not being dictated to. I think it's a wise move.
