Disappointed, disgusted, you name it.
Are you disappointed in David Haye?

thecontract is no excuse, he had signed it once and he had agreed to in once, he was the one doing the chasing, he was the one who wanted the fight regardles of where it was or the money, he has now done the dirty and he will pay for this now because he is botherd about the Klits, they though aint botherd by about fighting him, i doubt he will get the fight at all now unless they decide they realy want to make him pay, dont think they will waste there time though now.Comment

I'm a big Haye fan and I have to admit that I'm very dissapointed. He promised a fight with a Klitschko and he hasn't delievered one. I can understand his reasoning for turning down the second fight because the conditions were ridiculous, as were the conditions for the Wladimir fight, but it doesn't look good to accept the conditions against the weaker brother and then to turn down the same conditions against the stronger brother; both of whom you promised to smash to pieces.
I'm remaining a fan for the time being, because he is an exciting fighter to follow both in the ring and out of it, but I'm close to turning my back on him.Comment

I'm disappointed he hasn't fought more, because he's great to watch.
But boxing is an on-off sport, anyway. Just got to be patient and hope he wins convincingly against The Beast, then things should happen.
Hell, if he'd fought a Klitschko by now he might well be retired, so...Comment

The long spells of inactivity have been a drag, but a Klitschko-Haye fight seeming so close (after too long of not much at all) and then falling through would be more a cause for despair if he didn't have another fight ready.
And it's a bizarre, potentially shocking fight. It would help Haye's cause a lot if he won big, which means KO, but the way he'll need to fight, you fancy against him being able to land the volume and size of punches he'd need to stop Valuev. Things are rarely straightforward with Haye, though, so we could end up with a topsy-turvy, entertaining fight in November. Or it could turn out the dullest of his career...though David's ever-present air of vulnerability would still keep it nice and tense.
A wild, white-knuckle heavyweight ride is what I was originally strapped in for with Haye, not just a fight against Wlad, but an eventful campaign, whether he got as far as a Klitschko or not.
So with a win in this fight, the rollercoaster should finally gather some momentum.Last edited by MACAQUEINBLACK; 07-24-2009, 11:43 AM.Comment

He said he'd fight two "top ten" heavyweights" and then fight Wlad, but he only fought old fringe contender Monte Barrett.
He's had only ONE fight in a year and a half.
He signed a contract that he didn't like, instead getting a better one by first becoming a mandatory (by fighting someone like Arreola).
He gave his word to HBO, K2 and Golden Boy that he would fight Vitali on Sep 12, while at the same time negotiating with a softer opponent, Nicolay valuev.
He didn't take into consideration that John Ruiz was already declared WBA mandatory before negotiating with Valuev. If the fight is still on, it likely won't be for the WBA title.
Were you expecting him to be involved in a big fight or two from him during the past year and a half? Are you disappointed in David Haye?
