I buy the HBO thing because there's no way normally that HBO would have picked up showtime **** if it wasn't GBP (Bute-Andrade 2)

i responded to some idiotic thread the other day about the whole GBP-HBO thing the other day, is there a bit of trend in there, yes, enough to really say HBO=GBP, not even close..........the worst case of travesty HBO programming is probably DBE events, aka Berto showcases.....

And at the end of the day, it's a magazine, not a boxing organization. But even then, let's compare their rankings to the WBO, WBC, WBA, etc etc etc. Now THOSE GUYS have real corruption!!!

HBO has had 10 dates........GBP has only been involved in 5, and has only been the lone promoter in 2....Top Rank was most likely the dominant promoter in both of their combined promotions, and while GBP was the dominant promoter in their co-promotion with Goosen, it was a showcase for 2 Goosen fighters....

TOP RANK has been involved in 3, being the lone promoter in 1(and like i said, most likely the most dominant in both of their co promotions with GBP)

DBE(DiBella) has been the lone promoter in 2+an undercard

GSP(Shaw) has been the promoter in 1+an undercard

DKP(Don King) has been the promoter in 1, but he only showcased his own fighters in the main event, the undercard was a showcase for GSP(angulo) and DBE(Martinez-Cintron) fighters.

Goosen Tutor was co-promoter in 1 date


pretty normal, considering GBP and Top Rank have the best fighters...if anything, DBE is the one that kinda gets better than normal treatment.

and coming up, we have a Top Rank event(Cotto-Clottey) and a MayweatherP/GBP event(FMjr-JMM)

hardly a monopoly......

Putting Nonito Donaire in the P4P rankings is a bigger crime than ****. WTF did he do to earn it? He wins against weak ass competition. He didn't fight Naito, Narvaez and is afraid to rematch Darchinyan.

LOL, its Gary Shaw that doesn't want a rematch. Donaire will beat the **** out of Nochinyan.
