Well, nothing wrong with trying to get more money thats all. If he doesn't, the fight will still be made, I am 100% confident in that hhehehe (pun intended). At this point both camps are making preparations etc. Both camps know they have a huge pay day ahead. Cotto's camp will take it, I guess you could say that the belt being on the line or not could be comparable to the news we kept hearing that manny and gacal wanted the fight at 143 when we all knew it was going to be at 145. I think the belt issue is just to keep promoting the fight.

Nither of these guys lacks confidence other wise they would never have made it this far IMO.

if cotto is a 100% confident, why not pay the sanctioning fees since he will benefit from it anyway if he beats pac?

Great point man the belt should be 1 good reason to tell Cotto isn't going to win the belt should be up adds more to fight but i guess we're getting some of the biggest fights in boxing without belts but just don't make them like they used to if they did the belt would be up

Maybe he is trying to get Arum to pick up the fees. That would be 300,000 more in his pocket. Nothing wrong with that IMO.

I agree with the bold, I think it gives the the match more, I wish that clottys belt would have been on the line but it was not. Cotto did not make a big deal of it and still went ahead with the fight.

You know Manny wants that belt, and Arum is going to make sure its there for Manny to grab!

Thats a good question. then maybe cotto, arum and manny should split the cost LOL...

I think really 300k is mani (peanuts) compared to what these guys will make..
I do really hope he puts the belt on the line tho. Im not like some other guys that complain that the fight is not at 147..It is still within the welter limit...put the belt on. another posibility is that maybe they are trying to make cotto look like juan mamacita lopez LOL

I will just sit back and wait hehe

thats 5th major title, 8th title in 7 weight divisions. he was the first to achieve 4 lineal titles in history and if the wbo belt is on the line, he will be the first to win titles in 7 weight divisions
