if cotto wants to remain as a champ, why not pay the sanctioning fees since he will be stripped of the title anyway if he doesnt. if hes really confident of beating pac, then why not put it on the line against him and defend it with ease?

by the way, pac is now ranked by the wbo as #1

Maybe 10M (Cotto`s share) x 3% = 300,000 dollars. How many cars can that buy??? Maybe Pac or Arum can just shoulder it.

I would much rather fight for the belt than to give it up.

I hope Cotto does put the belt up.

If Manny should win, it will mean that much more on paper based on the would be 7 division titles which I would love to see, in a way.

At the end of the day.

Cotto is just trying to get more money, nothing wrong with that. If the WBO is going to strip him then the more reason for him to push for more money. It does not have anything to do with not having confidence.

If he gets stripped the fight would still be made, unless Pac does not want to. But one thing for sure...Arum, he will make sure Cotto puts the belt on the line..

I think IBO is willing to sanction it if nobody does.

bro, hes already getting a lot of money by fighting pac. ive saw a puerto rican article saying that miguel could be getting as much as $15m what more does he want? paying the sanctioning fees will be peanuts for him. and yeah, arum will make a way to make this a title fight.

Without the belt it should be a 20-80% split in favor of Manny.

If Mosley is willing to defend the WBA belt at 143 and willing to get the smaller of the slice, props to him., Cotto doesn't have the balls of a man to defend that title

He should be he will be KO'D by Pacquiao those stamina probs will be exploited + Pacquiao's speed & shots from all angles & body work he can hurt Cotto anytime can finish the job early i don't know Cotto's big 147 prob safe to say the most prime welter his fought i think its a KO for Pacquiao mid to late rounds.

and that may be the reason why he doesnt want to put the belt on the line
