Real ATGs battle in the ring and no where else. Thats why dlh will only be known as the mexican american ricky hatton. all hype with limited skill. It was the money that followed them that got them questionable decisions.

Cotto deserves everything he agrees too so no excuses from him and his fans when his dry & weak azz gets ktfo by the p4p hype job of the sport.
NO ONE bullies oscar in negotiations.

oscar agreed to 147 not because he was bullied by pac but because he wanted to make the fight as legit as possible.

pac was at 135 to have him go up to 154 would have made the fight even more ridiculous. a lot of people didn't want the fight as is at 147 because they thought it was a horrible size mismatch.

oscar had very good skills btw. he's no all time great but he's a great fighter.

people act like catchweights is some new thing. it happens all the time.

a lot of fighter's first few fights are at catchweights.

Then ask yourself...Whats the main event fight on Nov.14? ...Yea thats right....a WELTERWEIGHT BOUT.

Yet somehow a lot of you believe that because it isn't at the WW max limit it shouldnt count as a WW fight. This is garbage.
No its a Catchweight Bout of 145!

No its a Catchweight Bout of 145 with a range of 145-140.1! A WW bout is a range of 147-140.1

So you say whats two pounds. I agree! So why not just make it a WW title fight with the prescribed rules/weight?

i think your missing the argument here

I haven't heard too many people say 145 is not Welter ... I mean come on, people cannot be THAT ****** ... if someone weighted in at 145 .. it would be too heavy for Junior Welter (max of 140) and 2 lbs less then the Welterweight max of 147 .. so just on that, 145 is too big for Junior Welter so it's Welterweight .. I think we can all concur on that, and in the rule book.

now regarding the "145 title on line or not" business. I see both sides of it.

side A. the weight is 145, under the limit of the Welter max, but still at Welterweight .. it's @ welter so the WBO Welter title should be on the line.
if anything is garbage it's team Pacquiao trying to have their cake and eat it too.

Side B. The champ having to go under the max to fight at a catchweight in defending his own title is kinda ridiculous ... yes it's been done before (B-Hop did it twice I believe) but the fact that this fight is being fought at a catchweight, still doesn't sit right with me.

as we all know Cotto will probably weight significantly more then Pac come fight night, so to "even it out" Roach and company try to drain Cotto a bit by making him weight 2 lbs lower then usual.

**and there was an article on here where Roach said the ^ more or less. He's trying to drain Cotto a bit, no if ands or buts about it. and yes fighters try to get advantages i.e. the glove size or ring size .. but IMO using the weight directly effects the fighter more so then a bigger ring or different gloves.

because with gloves or the ring, your changing the environment of the fight.

where the weight has a direct impact on the fighter and can dictate how they'll fight i.e. weight drained or not

it just looks like Team Pac is trying to have their cake and eat it too.

and fighting the champ at a catchweight is a perfect example.

**I really don't like how Freddy Roach was so open to admitting in wanting the weight as low as possible, as especially in boxing a sport based on pride to be so vocal about trying to drain the opponent is cowardly

wanting to fight someone at less then 100% .. what a warrior attitude.
