because his man wasn't hurt. you'd be suprised too if you got a knockdown with your best shot and the guys legs looked fresh.

Froch is a serious opponent for any of the five guys he would go up against in the tournament. Reason behind all of this is the way he fights. He boxes smart, the way boxing is supposed to be done. You aren't supposed to unleash your best shots in round one or two in a twelve round match. You're supposed to just give your opponent a hint of what's coming, and then let them know what the "Real Deal Holyfield" is in the later rounds. If you unleash your best shots early on, say, in round one...it's almost like North Korea letting us know where their nuclear missiles are housed, you know? Think of it like that, as if it were nuclear warfare...Would you let your opponent know where your best weaponry was, early on? Hell no. This is why I think Froch is a good opponent for any of the super six. He fights intelligently, maybe not as exciting as alot of marquee names but in that twelfth round you will know what the truth is. When he went up against Taylor and took his right hook, you could really see how good his chin is. The guy is not a joke. This entire forum considers him an easy win for any of the super six...

Froch is not a joke. He is a serious contender...I feel no need to press this issue, time shall tell!
Sorry, but i don't rate froch. Poor hand speed/accuracy, easy to hit. Last 12 rounds with him and you have an good chance of beating him by UD in my opinion. If he proves me wrong i'll take my hat off to him tho!

He was 2-3 rounds down. That's good enough for me. He has a good chin, power and stamina by the looks of things and I do think he's good for boxing, but I can see him being downgraded to gatekeeper very quickly after getting a few decision losses against him. But like i said before that's just my view on him. If he keeps up his win streak he'll certainly get my attention!

So, a guy who beat Taylor this year (in fantastic fashion I might add) and is currently in the super six doesn't 'have your attention' ?

Froch during the early part of the Taylor fight was made to look like he didn't even belong in the ring with Taylor....Taylor lost that fight more than Froch won it in my opinion. Froch just isn't an elite level fighter in terms of skill and natural ability and I seriously doubt he would win the tourney.

To the guy who said Taylor didn't attack for 30 seconds after the knockdown in round 3...it was because Froch got up and after six seconds, starting punching Taylor and backing him up

Froch knows how to lessen the impact of a punch. This is something Taylor, while he might be a strong fast good puncher, is unable to do. If you throw a good shot on Taylor and it lands, he goes back reeling. Froch either turns his neck with the punch or ducks, either way, the impact gets reduced. Average fans don't see or understand this. Combine that with his power and boxing brain, and he's a damn worthy adversary.
