Hes very easy to underestimate, he just doesnt look that impressive. I bet against him in the Taylor fight because its pretty obvious who is the more skilled fighter. I still dont believe its his skills that get underestimated, because they honestly arent that great. What gets underestimated is his heart and determination, thats also what turned me into a fan.

He's a classic tough guy, with a good chin, stamina, power and heart but he lacks the boxing IQ needed to complete (for me anyway) with the very elite.

He doesn't box smart, he conserves his stamina but his defence is so awful he's almost a static target which you can hit at will. If Taylor knew how to properly finish an opponent he may have gotten Froch out of there.

All it'll take is a good boxer who won't make the mistake of trading with him in the late rounds after building up and early lead. He isn't going to win against Dirrell IMO, the best chance I see him is against Abraham whos workrate is slow and main key asset is power (Froch may have the chin to take his power) and win off activity.

I'll put it like this. Hopkins took more from Calzaghe than Calzaghe took from Hopkins in their bout.......
calzaghe stole a win from hopkins. hopkins stole calzaghe's soul and forced him into retirement.

the round he knocked froch down in. he stood there and stared at him for the next 30 seconds without throwing a punch.

he has 2 things that alone can get your far in boxing that is:

              1. granite chin

              2. power

he is a guy that you cant hurt, cant back up, with can depress some fighters,
there are only two ways to beat him,

you either got to carefully box for 12 rounds and not get cought with anything ******, or if you can do that, you can try to go win in a war with him.

No, saying this as a huge B-hop fan. Hopkins stole the Calzaghe fight from himself, by not being more aggressive and not throwing more. He was more concerned about conserving stamina so he clinched and IMO the wrestling in the clinches took more out of him that actually punching did.

Hopkins did nothing of note past round 4, Calzaghe didn't beat him Hopkins beat himself.

isn't the point of boxing just to beat the other guy in the ring? he was clearly better than calzaghe. hit and not be hit aka boxing.i'm sorry he didn't throw as many punches as juan diaz.
