    Underestimating Carl Froch..........

I noticed that everyone on this forum more or less underestimates Froch for the super middleweight tournament. Well, I'm here to tell you that he's not a stepping stone. Froch is a serious opponent for any of the five guys he would go up against in the tournament. Reason behind all of this is the way he fights. He boxes smart, the way boxing is supposed to be done. You aren't supposed to unleash your best shots in round one or two in a twelve round match. You're supposed to just give your opponent a hint of what's coming, and then let them know what the "Real Deal Holyfield" is in the later rounds. If you unleash your best shots early on, say, in round one...it's almost like North Korea letting us know where their nuclear missiles are housed, you know? Think of it like that, as if it were nuclear warfare...Would you let your opponent know where your best weaponry was, early on? Hell no. This is why I think Froch is a good opponent for any of the super six. He fights intelligently, maybe not as exciting as alot of marquee names but in that twelfth round you will know what the truth is. When he went up against Taylor and took his right hook, you could really see how good his chin is. The guy is not a joke. This entire forum considers him an easy win for any of the super six...

Froch is not a joke. He is a serious contender...I feel no need to press this issue, time shall tell!

people always pick against him (me for one) because he isnt a good boxer and the general rule is too pick the better boxer in any fight for obvious reasons.they are exceptions to this rule and froch makes up for it with his work-rate power and chin,we saw this is the taylor fight.one guy getting outboxed for 6-8 rounds then the other fighter coming on strong too capitalize, similar to cotto/margarito.
that said,i cant see him going through this tourney undefeated

The people that dig Froch out the most on here are Calzaghe fans.

He is a serious contender(obviously) but he is a terrible boxer IMO and Abraham or Kessler would put him out.

You know, I appreciate Calzaghe's style and everything, but I'm not a big fan of him. Mainly because his main claims to fame are his wins over Hopkins and Jones, but the truth is that Jones was well past his prime...Hopkins, was a truly great fighter at the time Calzaghe beat him and I'll give him that one...He got past Hopkins, but then again so did Taylor, by a bull**** decision.

I'll put it like this. Hopkins took more from Calzaghe than Calzaghe took from Hopkins in their bout.......

That'd be a good match, Andrade vs Froch, but only because they both have great chins. I think Froch would get him outta there in the championship rounds...Andrade is a hell of a fighter but his technique is hot garbage compared to Froch's. Even if Froch prefers the Hearns style with his left low, he compensates by holding his right hand by his chin at mid to long range....he boxes excellently. The reason he can take those big punches is because he thinks before he punches and keeps his chin down...I think he will do some serious damage to these guys in the super six, come out undefeated, who knows...But I know one thing, if he fights AA or Taylor first he'll win his first fight.

So many Americans backing the Euro fighters.

You don't see them backing US fighters.

I don't think Froch wins the tourney. I don't see him as anything close to gr8 yet, but off his last 2 fights, he's a tough guy that I respect.
