Calzaghe on Cleverly: "There is Only One of Me"

Light heavyweight Nathan Cleverly (17-0, 7KOs) is being compared by many British pundits to Joe Calzaghe. Some are calling him the next Calzaghe. The current BBBofC British and Commonwealth (British Empire) champion is making a real name for himself on the British boxing scene. [details]

All the kid has to do be the next Calzaghe is the following:

    1. Have terrible Punching technique.

    2. Have no coordination or balance

    3. Slap

    4. Fight bums in europe your whole career.

    5. Beat Lacy and Kessler

    6. Wait for the good fightrers to get old then fight them.

    7. Tell everyone your an ATG.

LOL @ this clown. He beats Hopkins in a controversial fight and never gives him the rematch but gives other Europeans bums rematches. Ducks Glen Johnson because of his broken heart and duck Chad Dawson and runs away to retirement.

There was nothing "controversial" about Calzaghe's win over Hopkins. He won easily, although, like ALL of Hopkins' fights, it was messy, due to Hopkins spoiling style.

He was only trying to survive for the last half of the fight, it was VERY obvious.

Calzaghe finished up a brilliant career with a 46-0 professional record, and in fact was never beaten in a boxing ring either as an amateur or professional. The criticism on this link is typical of "sour g****s". When you learn something about boxing, you'll understand what I'm saying.

nobody can slap their way to being undefeated while staying in europe not fighting great opposition then coming over to america when your 2 biggest names on your resume are 39 & 43 years old respectively.

nobody can do it quite like average joe.

maybe cleverly is more clever than calslappy & waits until roy & bernard are 59 & 63 years old respectively & only gets knockdown in the 2nd round instead of the 1st.

that must be why 90 percent of the media ringside had hopkins winning including some of the british nuthuggers on setanta

survive what? the inaccurate windmill machine?

he was beaten as an amateur. educate yourself.
