Or people will forever question that loss. They'll say that even though Khan was talented, Prescott would still demolish him. He needs to rematch Prescott and win.
Amir Khan needs to rematch Prescott

You think Khan wants ANY PART of a legitimately massive lightweight? (Even if he a crude journeyman that has very limite boxing skills).
This will be the result again:

A rematch is now totally pointless other than some ridiculous macho thing about 'avenging' the loss. Prescott now brings nothing else to the table and other fighters bring more money, more prestige AND have a much better claim to fight for the belt.Comment

Oh, rubbish. A couple of successful defences and Prescott will just be the forgotten 'guy Khan lost to', if he isn't already.

Yea, I don't think he needs to rematch Prescott at all. I mean I don't think Khan is that great but I don't think a rematch with Prescott would do anything for his career, to better it, at all.
I mean he has some decent wins over his last two oppenents. Yea he got knocked the **** out, so what. If he progresses and does great at 140, like the dude said people will remember he got knocked out but no one will or shouldn't give a ****. I'd like to see him fight Bradley or Campbell.Comment

Yes, he does need to rematch him because that is still the most significant memorable event in his career. He can never be respected as a champion even though he was a belt now with an unavenged loss like that one.Comment

I respectfully disagree with those who think he doesn't need to rematch him. It'll always be brought up in any discussion of him in the long term. It's not like I think everyone will say Prescott would still beat him, but a lot of people will.Comment
