All Bob Arum has done is made all you guys believers of hyped of fighters who Arum won't put in the ring and he's using this as a tool to get you to pay money. You guys forget this is the same guy who had said Tye Fields was a great fighter and can fight. lol He also created Butterbean. Now he got you guys believing Pavlik & Pacquiao are great fighters. Why are you being such a hypocrit. You say no fault to Pavlik, then you say don't deserve an even split. The more I come to this website the more I see the viewers are sooo ignorant. First of all what's wrong with a 50/50 split? Who has Pavlik beaten to say he deserves a even split, that should be the question. Then you say some ****** **** like We need fighters who will fight all comers. Isn't that what Paul Williams does? He has asked to fight anyone from 147 to 168. If you boy Pavlik was a good fighter he would fight Williams. We know why HBO has Pavlik, not because he's good. Pavlik is a very bland average fighter that has beaten below C level guys his entire career. The minute he stepped into the ring with someone that knew how to fight he got his ass handed to him. Are you serious Sturm is worth more and carries more prestige? That's insane! Who has Sturm ever beaten that was top level and does ppl in the U.S. even know Sturm? You might be right if they fight out of the country.

Sturm is the only legit opponent at MW now that Abraham has left. According to german media this fight is worth 7 million a piece. That might be an overstatement, but I would think it's worth more than Williams.

Williams has beaten nobody at MW except for a 37 yearold who had spent the last 2 years in a rocking chair.

Pavlik is worth more than Williams. It's that simple. Boxing is a business, and Goosen's offer indicates he wasn't really serious about the fight.

If Williams would beat Pavlik, why doesn't he just take a 55/45 or 60/40? It would still be more money than he'll get anywhere else.

The reason is that Williams' people know its extremely dangerous for Williams, because Pavlik is stronger and most of Williams opponents, if not all, have been much smaller than him. Williams would still have a reach advantage but he and Pavlik are similar in height. All it would take is one straight right from Pavlik and the Williams express could be derailed... that's why his people don't want to make the fight.

I think Goosen should just take 40% though in all honesty because
a win over Kelly Pavlik at 160 who is the Middle Weight Champ would
do a lot to boost Williams up. The main problem with the Sport of
Boxing is the promoters.
