true; but why is goosen making such a ridiculous offer? 50/50? he KNOWS Arum would never accept it. Also, I don't think Pwill deserves 50/50 for the undisputed 160 title. He should offer 60/40, that would be a real offer coming from the Pwill camp.

I don't think it is Pavlik that doesn't want meaningful fights but more
the less Bob Arum. That's why Oscar and Floyd bounced on Arum
because Bob likes to keep fighters careers from truly flourishing do
to what he wants. As soon as a fighter leaves Top Rank they blow up.
Bob Arum seems to be too caught up in the business side of things
emotionally and it hinders fighters progress. I would say 50/50 down
the middle is fair because Pavlik/Williams both are in the same
boat as far as finding a meaningful fight.

True, the bottom line is that both guys need a fight. Pavlik may hold the belts at 160,but with the exception of sturm there really isnt anyone worth fighting in that division. His stock hasnt exactly risen as of late,so 50/50 may be neccesary to get his name and reputation back to where it was.

As far as Williams is concerned, the guy just needs to fight and needs to decide what weight he is going to campaign at. Its great that he is willing to fight anyone from 147-160, but no-one wants to fight him.
