What turns people off about Khan is how he's so overrated and overhyped.

We hear relatively little about BETTER young fighters like Brook, Mitchell and Cleverly.

Thank you for bringing that to peoples' attention. A lot of good, young prospects are being overlooked about now.

Khan is not overrated or overhyped anymore.

People think overrating a boxer is saying that someone can improve after suffering a huge defeat. Khan definitely has time, and the talent to succeed. Most fans realise this. Plus, Khan has far more haters than he has fans, so I don't think he is overrated at all. Maybe overhyped by Sky, but not the general public or real boxing fans.

As for supposedly better fighters recieving less recognistion than Khan, then yes that is true. Except I don't think Brook, Mitchell, or Cleverly are better than Khan. They may have better chins, but in terms of raw boxing skills, and talent, they lag behind Khan. On top of that, when did Brook, Mitchell, or Cleverly win a silver medal at the Olympics aged 17? It's a well known fact that a sucessful Olympic boxer will have more opportunities in the pro ranks.

People need to get off Khan's back. If he beats Kotelnik he will have announced his arrival on the world stage. If he get's knocked out, he will go back to the domestic ranks, and will have a tough time getting another shot at the big time.

Khan is in deep trouble if he loses on Saturday, Frank Warren only picked Kontelnik because he has a small KO% and is slow (well slow compared to Khan) i honestly don't think Warren or Roach have any confidence if Khan had to fight any of the other big names/champs at Lightweight or Light Welterweight.

Most of these Champs/Prospects have KO power which they think Khan would have trouble with.

Warren will have a difficult time finding opponents who are so feather-fisted they pose no risk for Khan.

Maybe he should put Amir in with female boxers!

It's because he is British Tunney. The British tend to overrate the hell out of their fighters, and get them big money fights when they really do not deserve them. If Khan was American he would have had at least 5 KO losses by now, since he would fight tough competiiton and not get soft touches.

I am neither jealous of Khan, nor am I a racist. Shame on you for bringing those accusations to the table.

if kotelnik knocks amir, then its over for him

So Ortiz had no soft touches?

Lamont Peterson had no soft touches?

Andre Dirrell had no soft touches?

Andre Ward had no soft touches?

Boxers are always carefully matched early on in their careers. It's not just a British thing.
