Jones was at his peak perhaps the most talented fighter ever. he is also not chinny he was beaten with a clean hard shot from tarver that would have dropped anyone and Johnson landed alot on him, y'all act like he has been brutally ko'd like 10 or 15 times. he took tarvers best agaion later and didn't drop and Joe couldn't even slap him out throwing 1000 punches a round, yet people will say joe isn't chinny after being down twice against 40 year old men back to back. Also Jones had a cut like Cotto's and he kept going in a fight he was losing so saying he's chinny or has no heart is not correct when desribing Jones unless of course you feel that joe was as well being that he was down against Jones & Hopkins.

I only know of 1 fighter who dropped him while he was in his prime. You have since informed me he is chinny which I was not aware of. You must have some information that I myself do not have.

Guys this is my post and in the end Roy is the greatest of all time. Sugarray rob was great but like I said it before old school fighters are nothing compared to new school. Our champs today would have crushed sugar Ray Robinson. The only reason you guys defend the old school fighters is because you trying to sound like you known boxing. The old school fighters are ****** and nowhere near the technical briliance of modern day fighters. So **** yall bitches dis westside homie.

One could not train to be like him because his ability was all natural.

so basically excuses from you...nothing more...nothing less, just like i put in my previous posts....excuses....call me all the names in the book you want to, but i call it like i see it....roy jones himself said he was in the best shape of his life before fighting johnson, tarver, and calzaghe....i don't want to hear it.....hopkins was way past his best when he beat tarver and pavlik....what does that say about fighters like mayweather, hopkins, srl, ali---who beat foreman way past his best years....srl beat hagler----i mean, i don't want to hear it....goerge foreman beat michael moorer by knockout....

it's skills, not age....of course people slow down with age----it's natural but this is why fundamentals play a huge role....let's see how dominant floyd still is as he ages----because of how fundamentally sound he is, just like hopkins......no more excuses for roy jones....he was a special talent, i never said he wasn't, but he wasn't the most skilled nor the best ever....stop whining little *****....

definitely the best in our lifetime...prince naseem had a talent similar...but once he was truly tested...he failed...floyd mayweather is up there as well...arron pryor was a ****ing monster...and extremely underrated compared to the great names mentioned in boxing...they are few and wide...but there were a few who damn near transcended the action of boxing and brought us something much more and exciting...

Most ridiculous argument Ive heard in a while good one. Holyfield still says hes in the best shape of his life before every fight its what they're supposed to say. Which all fighters would you say were more talented than Roy?
