I have a serious question. I have just rewatched the JMM - Pacquiao fight. I have heard that he says he broke his hand early in the fight. If that is true it would really give me a little insight into how that fight went down. If anyone has actual information can they let me know. I know Pacquiao has been ripped into for his socks comment but I'm not questioning his heart or abilities. He is a great fighter that I love to watch. But is the hand an excuse or was it actually broken. I didn't see where it happened if it did.
A Pacquiao question without any insults

The worse excuse was from Barrera..."I was not myself during the fight"Originally posted by mauricio95excuses i had the fight
JMM skills did the trick
What was he thinking when he made that excuse...He might have a split personality!!! lolComment

His hand wasnt actually broken. It was a little swollen but thats normal. He kept throwing it full force the whole fight.Comment

I didn't think that after the second round he was throwing the straight left as fiercly. He did only when getting hit first by JMM. He did have a few really good moments in the later rounds though. But in general I don't think the only reason he wasn't able to blitz JMM was that JMM went onto his normal game plan. Just my thoughts.Originally posted by .::|ULTIMATE|::.His hand wasnt actually broken. It was a little swollen but thats normal. He kept throwing it full force the whole fight.Comment

And to the other two. Please do not take this into a back and forth on my thread. It is possible to have a discussion about Pacquiao without having Morales fans and Pacquiao fans saying that they are each nut huggers. It's true! Really!Comment

Watch the 3rd round again with 1:46 left. Pac throws a left, then shakes it like it hurted. It landed on top of JMM's head. You can see him grimace in pain. After the 6th round, Pac tells Roach in his corner his foot is hurt. Was he hurt? No question.Originally posted by boxernycI have a serious question. I have just rewatched the JMM - Pacquiao fight. Here is how I saw the fight:
Pacquiao - Rounds 1, 2, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11
Marquez - Rounds 3, 4, 5, 6
Then Round 12 is a toss-up it can go either way.
And even when you give to Marquez, Pacquiao should have won but was robbed.
On round 7, Pacquiao learned how to block Marquez' punch to the head by putting his arms steady and up high and then Pacquiao counterpunched.
Any other way of seeing it are either blind or in somebody's payroll. This is the fairest assestment I can deliver.Comment

JMM got caught with the same straight left throughout the whole fight. They landed clean although JMM didn't go down like teh first round. Same punch, different effect? Marquez's chin suddenly got better as the fight went on? Nah. You're absolutely right Pac's left wasn't as fierce as it was in the first. Gee, I wonder why? And even better observation you made. He only threw it with intent when JMM landed first to keep Marquez from taking control of the fight.Originally posted by boxernycI didn't think that after the second round he was throwing the straight left as fiercly.
