I thought he hurt him/knocked him down (legit KDs) at least twice but the ref didn't count it just like that KD against Judah in the 7th round that should've been a KD but wasn't[/b]

Provided that Spinks would maintain his normal speed at 154, how could Mayorga do anymore damage then he already had done? Refer up, Mayo did do damage to Spinks

Mayorga is a slower and doesnt possess any heavy hitting power at 154. Not to mention, he only had 1 fight their. He had one fight at 154 and he didn't impress, yes. However, just because he looked bad against one fighter whom he was looking past doesn't mean he won't be a contender. He gave Tito one hell of a fight at 160 so I think he'll be good at 154. He also fought a fighter who had never been down in his career. Some people just have good chins. You can't knock out everyone, no matter how hard you hit.

What leads you people to believe Mayorga could beat Spinks this time around? Because he won the first fight. I had him ahead by one point, even with the two point deductions, at 113-112.

Spinks would be just as fast and Mayorga would be slow and powerless.

Have you people not watched Mayorgas last 3 fights?

On top of that, Zab would kill Mayorga. I don't think he would. I think Forest hits harder than Judah and Mayo took his power just fine. Judah would get caught with a Mayo right and go do the chicken dance again.

Mayorga was tailor made for anybody who can box with speed. Zab broke down Spinks with boxing and fast movements. MAYORGA HAS NONE OF THIS! Mayorga loops his punches and with head and body movement he will miss.

Sure hang onto the last thread of this hopeless Gatekeeper, but he will go nowhere. Mayorga is finished.

I am not being harsh because I like Spinks, but I dont favor Mayorga against any top fighter at 147-160. He hasnt looked impressive and hasnt brought his power with him. For Christs Sake, Mitchell wasnt even effected by Mayorga.
I disagree with you and have bolded my replies to your quote.

I don't even want to see this fight. I can already see the "excitement" of Mayorga chasing Spinks around the ring hoping to land just one good one while Spinks dances and throws sissy punches that don't even faze Mayorga. And then Spinks will get the decision. Spinks is the freakin' Chris Byrd of the lower weights and now that he has no belts, I doubt many fighters will accept his challenge. Mayorga needs to find a more worthy contender who might actually fight with him.

wondering if anyone noticed that the "fearful"
        9th rd was spinks demise.
same as jones jr, delahoya and (you fill this space) ...

just coincidence or does it weigh on a boxers mind
        on an sub conscious level?

i think mayorga might catch spinsk but likely
an even better points win than before for spinks

          idk
this one might go same way as the first
          both keep same basic advantages
cept mayo might have even more trouble following spinks around with that extra weight

I don't know if anyone else mentioned this, but am I the only one who wants to see Mayorga vs. Ouma?

That would be one hell of a fight. I'd favor Ouma on just work rate.

Ouma has a good chin but no one compares to Mayorga. Ouma i think is stronger but the fight will last 12. I wanna see if ouma can get past mayos wild punches. Spinks won but the last fight but i think it was close and could have went either way. If mayo hits him clean its all over though for spinks. For his sake i hope he runs the entire 12.

you dont give mayorga enough credit...unless u have felt mayorga hit you at 154 u cant or anyone for thar matter say he doesnt have power when he does plus his chin would give him a chance against anyone. Please..154?Santos and everyonje are crap except for winky and ouma...ouma vs mayorga or mayorga vs winky would generate a lot of money and fans...and i think spinks would get killed by mayorga at this weight, Mayorga deserves more credit then a lot of your are giving him. His biggest test will probably be his first fight (simms) cuz ouma hits you about 1000 times but doesnt hurt you once so mayorga at 154 will be a great addition...The gatti of 154

I don't see Mayorga winning a rematch against Spinks. In their first fight, I will say that Ricardo was cheated out of a knockdown though. But I've gotta agree, if Mayorga couldn't finish Spinks at 147 where he was supposed to be so powerful, how can he do it at 154? We saw how he looked fighting at 160, he started getting tired in the first round. 154, I don't see Ricardo doin much unless he learns himself a little bit of technique.
