calzaghe didnt have much appeal outside of his own country until his last couple of fights. just when people got to know him, he retired. alot of people felt that he was over rated because of this. aside from fanboys, no one thinks calzaghe is higher all time than the likes of leonard, hearns, duran, or even hopkins. he may have beaten hopkins, but hopkins career was much more glorious. calzaghe didnt get on top until he was getting older. he retired at the right time, one can only speculate as to if he would have beaten more great fighters should he have fought them.
