pacman is a very quick fightter probably one of the quickest that cotto has faced but cotto is used to fighting quicker opponents such as mosley, judah and paulie.

cotto himself has great timing and thats the key to neutralizing speed. JMM had alot of success against pacman because he does have wonderfully timed counters although cotto is equally adept at timing he doesn't have the same punch variety as JMM (e.g. right hand is not as good and neither is his uppercut). what he does have though is size and one flush left hook at 145 will send the pacman to ***** street.

Honestly, as i consider the speed, power, stamina combination... probably not
Cotto chances of winning the fight significantly reduces the longer the fight goes on
if cotto doesn't find a way to end by the 6 or 7th... it's curtains for Cotto

the best way to neutralize manny is timing.

i don't think manny will win on speed alone. he will have to use his chin, workrate, angles, STAMINA to get passed cotto. cotto will need to bring his A game first half and hope he knocks manny out. passed the 6 or 7th his fuel tank will be running on E

if cotto's eye gets cut and blood comes down. he will not back pedal and run and keep the fight going like he did with clottey. COTTO let the eye heal properly. if pac smells the blood he will rip you.

Cotto handled Judah, who was supposed to be much faster than he is. Cotto handled Mosley, and he is very fast (faster than Cotto I think). I think he can handle Pacquiao's speed, though it won't be comfortable for him.

judah only fights for 2 rounds, in those 2 rounds he was beating Cotto. Everyone handles Judah because Judah gives up after the first few rounds.

Cotto is slower than Ricky and doesn't pull the trigger unless he knows he will land. Pacquiao moves to much I don't see Cotto doing anything really other than taking punches.
