yes
This will clear up the Vitali vs Arreola and Maskaev thing. That way Vitali won't have to fight them both. I am very surprised Maskaev is taking this fight, i thought he would wait or fight bums till Vitali had to fight him. Arreola will beat Maskaev and fight Vitali after Vitali embarases Haye.Comment

Damn october? These guys need to stay more active. I mean I know it's only 6 months since his last fight but come on atleast every 4. I know it's not exactly is fault becuase of promoters and what not. But fighters today need to kick up the pace and fight more often. They would probably get recognized more if they fought more.Comment

this isn't an overmatched travis walker or an old, fat, come for the check mccline.this will by far be arreolas biggest test.maskaev may be 40 but he'll be in great shape, has power in both hands(especially a power left hook),& can box.he has wanted vitali in the ring for awhile but lost his court case so he's stepped up to fight arreola for the right to fight vitali.99.9% people on this site think maskaev has no chance.I'm the opposite.I think he has a good chance to win.I've seen maskaev lots & know what he can do.his chin can be suspect but the guys who've knocked him out had great power while arreola doesn't.he's got decent power & he wins by aggressive flurries.mccline could have gotten up but pretty much laid down & retired again.I was very diaapointed in mccline for being fat & not wanting to fight.he admitted coming for the payday.he was never coming for a fight which disappointed me because 6 months earlier he won that eliminator vs mollo & was still in the picture.maskaev can't be underestimated.think both Rahman fights.he can go 12 & can box or slug.the ball is in arreolas court.if he's in good condition to go rounds he shouldn't have any problem but if he's not in shape he may be on the outside looking in with maskaev as the mandatory...I give maskaev a very good chance.I did give mccline a chance until I saw the weigh in.maskaev is better than people think.he's like James"bonecrusher"smith.a decent heavyweight, with power in both hands but slow & methodical but if you are not in shape & get caught napping you could be on your back looking up at the roof.arreola can take a punch & of he's not careful he could be taking alot of big punches.don't forget maskaev can box & he learned his craft in the states once he turned pro.Comment

I got arreola with a 75% chance of winning with maskaev a 25% chance.I'm actually looking forward to this fight.I'm home from Peru & Bolivia on the 1st of October.just in time but any other fights in September I'll have to order when I get back.so far mayweather/marquez & vitali/haye.the mayweather fight will be repeated on hbo when I get back...I'd rather see arreola fight vitali but I want to see if he's the real thing.this fight will answer some of the questions.if maskaev survives the early flurries look out! Can arreola fight hard for more than 4 Rounds vs a top heavyweight in shape?Comment

i can dig this!A interesting doubleheader is being worked on for October 3, with the Citizens Business Bank in Ontario or Home Depot Center in Los Angeles as the venues to host. Undefeated Chris Arreola will face former heavyweight champion Oleg Maskaev. Arreola is trying to work his way to a future meeting with WBC champion Vitali Klitschko. Maskaev at age 40 is staging one final run after being knocked out by Sam Peter in the early part of 2008. Maskaev has won two fights since then. [details]

10 years ago a boxer was done by 35-36 but it goes to show you todays athletes are in better shape but it also proves how weak & open the division is...maskaev was a contender in the mid-late 90's.it proves to all those klit fans that the division is so watered down that we have to keep seeing recycled heavyweights as legit contenders.arreola got rid of mccline & has a chance to get rid of maskaev.haye got rid of Barrett, while wlad took care of Rahman.there are a few still lingering about thou.holyfield & ruiz are still in the WBA picture vs valuev.Comment
