Im not trying to knock JMM but everyone is glorying those wins, to the point where they're overrated. But I expect that from this board.

FACT: ODLH was younger and weighed more than Casamayor when he fought Manny. Manny fought the bigger fighter.

Hatton only had 1 loss and I believe would KO Juan Diaz and take it to JMM.
You and I know Oscar wasn't in fighting condition that night...and I think JMM would school Hatton.

I think if you watched all 4 fights in order for the first time you'll be more shocked that Manny was able to pull off those wins in that fashion over JMMs matches.

Pacquiao had a weight drained version of De La Hoya. That means next to nothing, to me. Hatton was a good win, but it's not "great" because Hatton has always been a very subpar fighter anyway. Collazo gave him all he could handle, Lazcano had him stumbling like a drunk several times, and Mayweather had already KO'd him and took his "0". The title means a lot for his resume, but the name...not so much.

Casamayor wasn't the Casamayor of old. But he was still a legit threat, as he showed against Katsidis in their FOTY candidate.

Diaz was a real challenge, a young, tough, aggressive guy with a tremendous workrate and the #1 contender.

Marquez has the better wins. He completely wiped out the 135lbs division in back to back fights, on the Lightweight's conditions.

switch their opponents and poll result would be the same...

              too much hate for pac..
if he shut Casamayor for 8rnds and make him quit, people would say casamayor was way past his prime and 38yrs old and already a dinosaur..
if he KO'd diaz in two, people would say diaz is too green and already loses to campbell and too feather fisted, blah blah blah..

              JMM on the other hand..
if he KOd ODLH late, people would say how a true warrior he is fighting out of his comfort zone.. jumping divisons, beating bigger fighters..
if he KO'd Hatton after going through hell, people would say he beat a great manchurian mexican, he beat a great pressure fighter and the list goes on..

no, Juan Diaz is hungrier, fiercer, a warrior. He was trained by Spartan kings and was left for dead when he was 12 in the amazons of LA. by The age of 15 he emerged out of the cur-sed deadpool as not only a warrior, but the Man born to defeat JMM. JMM however had other plans..

                    I disagree, completely.

David Diaz was the weakest link @ 135, and a paper Champion who should've lost his title to the mummified version of Erik Morales who spanked his ass before finally retiring.

Juan Diaz was the younger, hungrier, fiercer #1 contender who had only lost to Campbell at the time, and had just got done schooling Katsidis.

                    Juan Diaz >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> David Diaz.
