    Floyd not fighting in 08/09 is my whole point of him not being the same star he was before. He was forgotten kinda quick & the emergence of Pac had a lot to do with it.

    Pac also did his fights in a recession. The Hatton fight was very close to Floyds numbers with Hatton, in a recession.

    Going forward, the buzz Pac has created worldwide for boxing shows he is the more popular fighter. Ofcourse I think the next fight PPV numbers will show this, and yes it may have to do with which fight is going to be more exciting but at the end of the day it's the fighters that make the fights exciting.

    Again, If Pac doesn't outsell Mayweather in their next fight I'll shut up.

    When talking about past ppv fights though keep in mind how much marketing was dumped into Oscar/Floyd...it was promoted to be the biggest fight ever. Southwest airlines, hell they had that **** on Tostitos chips and ive never seen that before.
    I disagree that you think he was forgotten, Pacquiao has emerged yes I agree... but Floyd has been on Wrestlemania since then and stuff... plus more people have heard of him since the Hatton fight and know who he is.

    Like I said, the fight is in demand for a reason... not just cause of Pacquiao, so the fight should be 50/50.

    Also, it isn't fair to compare Floyd's fight with JMM with Pacquiao's fight with Cotto cause they are different opponents... also quite a few people look at this fight as a tune up and aren't as interested... so just saying you can't compare it through that.

To be fair I don't give a **** as long as it happened... truth is, Boxing would be so much better if they just said 40/40 and the winner gets the extra 20.

          JMW kinda hard cause he weight just 148 on fight night, meaning he will be stepping in a division over his fight night weight naturally.

          JWW kinda wasn't his fault... he wanted guys but they didn't want him, hence why he jumped to WW... in all fairness, Floyd was a dangerous fighter at JWW and below those years back... that was when he was constantly getting KO's.

          Well if you go onto ticketmaster today you'll find you can buy a crapload of tix. When/If Pac/Cotto gets signed watch how fast those tix fly. 40/40 winner getting 20 works for me, it would make things a lot easier.

          JWW ur right can't put all the blame on Floyd, but he's not peachy clean either. There were a lot of big fights that didn't get made which hurts him.

              Forgotten was a poor word, but "missed less" perhaps. I hear what you're saying about the common opponents part, but if you go by Floyds own words he's the cash cow, marquez is a bigger draw than mosley, he's lb 4 lb, he beat pacman twice etc etc etc. If Floyds the cash cow it shouldnt matter who he fights, if you go by what he says anyway.

              I'm fine with 50/50 but if I had to give someone more it's Pacman simply because he's taken boxing to a level now that Floyd hasn't. Floyd had a chance to carry the torch and he retired, twice. You can't deny that Pac now is the most popular fighter, probably fighter of the decade, & with the buzz he's created going forward he would deserve more than a guy who hasn't fought in 2 years. JMO

                Plus he did want Tyszyu apparently... but Hatton beat him before the fight was gonna be made... that is the reason why most people give Floyd a pass at JWW... cause of what he did to Gatti (R.I.P, much respect), kinda made people not want a piece of him.

                I can't say anything about ticketmaster cause I tried to look on it and it was being **** and didn't work... plus just cause you can buy some tickets doesn't mean the fight isn't doing well, there is 2 months until its done yet and I am guessing many people sent them back cause of the date arrangement... the best thing to do it to just look at the numbers after the fight.

                I aint saying Pacquiao wont outsell Floyd... of course he might, but just saying lets wait and see for something more concrete.

                  thats what fraud jr & supporters fail to realize. fraud jr v hatton did only 100k better than pac v hatton? in a recession to boot? plus pac hatton were vs 2 non american, 1 can barely speak english, both very difficult to understand? thats not something to brag about.

                  pac is number one right now, resume, stature, standing, & star power wise.

                  Pac is Hansel he's so hot right now;

                  Fraud jr. is sooo derek zoolander;

                  • Mayweather needs to get his head out of his ass. Assuming both he and Pac win, 50-50 is exactly what the split should be. If either side won't fight this fight because of 50-50, they deserve to be ridiculed.

                      I agree with the Floyd part, but... peoples can't just discredit everything he says then agree with it whenever it suits them... that's just ******. Some of the stuff Floyd says is absolutely ****** but too many people take to it when they can ignore it... truth is he can't take a dump without getting flamed on.

                      Ehh, I dunno about Pacquiao being more popular, its close... they both are very popular and Pacquiao is the biggest star in Boxing now, but saying he isn't as popular is kinda ****** IMO.

                      It is like I keep saying, the fight is in high demand for a reason... not just for one fighter... but for both fighters, 50/50 is fair and 40/40 + 20 to winner is fairer, makes sense cause if they say "No I want lions share" you can just say "Well you will if you win, aren't you confident in winning?!"... I just wanna see the fight if Floyd beats JMM, we dunno how he is after retirement yet.

                      Like I said, negotiations are negotiations... both sides have said they want 60/40 so we can't just blame Floyd for it, both sides will go in trying to get as much as they possibly can, you can't blame them for it... if you had the chance to get $20,000,000 or $25,000,000 with some negotiating you would pick $25,000,000 right?
