Wouldn't Mallinaggi be better off moving down to 135 permanently?

with a malignaggi's hand problems it doesnt matter where he fights. he has fast hands, footwork, and good general boxing skill, he just doesnt have any power to keep anyone off of him and now that he's fighting better competition from where he grew his winning record, he is having a harder time winning his most important fights, and that is because of his hand problems coupled with his lack of fire power.


in a nut shell. sad to say, but malignaggi isnt a A level fighter. although he has A level heart and will, i give him that, he's no *****, no matter how gay i think his fashion and style is.

He cannotmake 135 beside there is not any money to be made down there any how. Teh $$ is at 140 and above and he knows that. The issue with his punching power or lack there of it is a direct result of his hands being injuried. The fact is he cannot punch with a clenched fist and most of the time he throws his punches with less then half of his power. Especially his right hand. A firend of mine gets hi shair cut at the same barber shop Paulie does and has had several conversations with Paulie. Paulie has stated that he has 3 or maybe 4 more fights left in those hands and that doctors have told him if he breaks or injures his right hand again he may inflict perminate damage that would irreprable. This is the REAL issue why he sometimes neglects throwing that right hand. Besides the hands being the way they are he NEVER really had KO power but he did have enough to supplement the jab and keep pressure fighters away so he could move and score....Lefty
