Another proof that 3-4 lbs does make a difference is the catchweight provision on the jmm-pbf fight or the proposed pac-cotto fight.
3 pounds is nothing. You can put on 3 pounds in a couple of days or lose it a couple of days. The reason Gomez/Darch lost is because they lost to two superior fighters nothing to do with weight. How can you use an excuse as moving up 3 pounds when these guys walk around a lot more than they fight

      the more the merrier..

it attracts more people in the sport hence helping it grow..

if its a failure it will die out on its own eventually..

I'd agree that Sal-Gomez , Sal was the better fighter. But Darch-Agbeko, you can argue than Darchiryan is actually the better fighter. It is also a known fact that fighters often dehydrate to the lowest point possible so as to gain an additional advantage come fight night so that 3-4 lbs does make a advantage. I'm just voicing my thoughts but it seems you are hell bent on pushing your cause so good luck.

These weight classes are a mockery to our great sport. The difference are minimal and pointless. What is the point of having weight classes when the difference is just 4 to 3 pounds. All weight classes should have a minimum 5 pounds difference. Gaining and losing 4 to 3 pounds is nothing.

          IMO it should be

          105
          110
          115
          120
          125
          130

          What are you thoughts
I totally agree with you... The division of weights are not consistent...

112, 115, 118 are close while 140,147,154 are too far.... I can't understand why they do like this...

i dont know for sure but im guesing that between 140 and 154 the difference is 7 wich is a lot more that 3 or 4 for lower classes but as a percentage of the weight it is probably closer than the actual numerical values show. For instance gaining 5lbs is alot more for a 112guy than a 154. Maybe im talking ****.

then why not go to the original 8 and just add cruiser?

they did it that way because the higher you go up the less important 1 lb. is.

6 lbs. is not as big a deal to a 154 fighter and 3 lbs. is to a 112 fighter.
