But everbody agrees that they're both extremely exciting to watch, hence they get popular. But that doesn't translate into overrated...

Neither one of them are overrated imo. Making entertaing fights for the fans doesn't mean they are world beaters. I recognize that there are fights that they should both lose, and they do.

Would u rather watch Arturo Gatti **** it out toe to toe with some other guy and watch them take brutal shots, or would u rather watch Pernell Whitaker use his defensive stlye to outbox em. I'd rather see Gatti vs anyone.

Mayorga is an overratted fighter and so is Gatti, however they bring entertainment to the sport and that is why we will always pay the $$ to watch them.

How can you say either guy is overrated? Mayorga was the welterweight champion and is exciting too watch. Gatti, well, tell me one fighter ever who is exciting as Gatti, plus hes a two-time champion. Both these guys bring it and both are warriors.
