Mayweather gets injured and fight's rescheduled to September 19.The Cotto-Manny fight is scheduled for November 14,Manny called HBO asking for an October date (which is closer to September 19).The reason is if he fights closer to Mayweather's fight then a deal can be put for Manny to face Floyd around December 15 or in early January so he can concentrate on his campaigns

Why is Manny so desperate to fight Floyd?
i agree with everything except the bolded part.
floyd is really screwing everything to have a pac-may fight.
what date is today? its almost july 18 and cotto-pac is not yet signed yet. if marquez and mayweather fight @ july 18, i think pac will start the negotiation with mayweather but mayweather is just screwing everything.

I think he'd definitely like to fight Mayweather ASAP. Seems to be taking every possible opportunity to stall the Cotto bout, wouldn't be surprised if they're already having preliminary talks with Floyd's people behind the scenes

some people say this might be his last fight.

makes sense to prefer may over cotto. financially and legacy wise.

I'm sure they'd love to fight eachother, both guys are probably going to retire next year and this fight is huge literally the only fight the casual fans are interested in

There is so much money in this, they'd be ****** not too fight if they win their next fights

i wouldn't be so sure, the Cavs just signed Anderson Varejao for 6 years and $50m and Anthony Parker for the MLE

The reality is that Floyd could've went straight for a fight with Pacquiao after the Hatton fight. But instead, Floyd goes after JMM as if it'll make a Pac vs Floyd fight that much more appealing (whatever...)

Sugar Ray Leonard took an even longer hiatus and came back and fought the Middleweight champ of the World. Floyd should've shown and proved he was the "so called" best. Now THAT would've been a hell of a statement.
