Caught me by surprise as well, and he doesn't deny it in the slightest.

Roy doesn't need the money, and I'm not sure he has the ability left in him to further enhance his legacy, nor does he need to. Retire now and the clocks starts ticking toward first ballot HOFer.

no roy, don't do it. I'd rather see you retire from boxing in one piece.

hopefully wlad sees that there is nothing to gain in fighting Jones and turns this fight down.

So you really believe that Roy could not only survive 12 rounds with Wlad, but outbox him as well? We can speculate on what a prime Roy would've done, but that Roy is long gone.

Lacy shouldn't be a problem, don't know much about Green. Roy can't stop Johnson at this point, which means holding your breath for 12 rounds. Avenging the loss would be cool, I guess, but since it didn't happen in his prime, and the one loss he did have (in his prime,) he avenged in brutal fashion, I don't think he has anything left to prove.

Who knows though? Roy has surprised us in the past, maybe he can do it again. He's still in amazing shape, still has great hand speed. Quien sabe.
