Props to Miguel for making it this far and finding a way to win the above fights with the exception of the Margarito beatdown. In Manny Pacquiao he faces one of the very best, elite fighters of this era, regardless of the weight difference. And with the kind of vulnerabilities he's shown in the past, chances are pretty damn good that he won't make it to the final bell against the Pacman.

And no, this is not hating, as many of you will be quick to call it. I'm just analyzing the upcoming fight and calling it how I see it.
good post, but lets look at Pacquiao's side of this, this is the hardest puncher he's faced, and manny was put down with a jab and rocked a few times by JMM, but now i also take int account that this is the older version of pac we are speaking of before the new somewhat slicker version, he's a very very smart fighter as well and will stay away from the left hook. good fight, very hard 2 predict

I was waiting for this counterargument to come up. Oscar was a harder puncher than Cotto IMO, but he just couldn't find Manny. And yes JMM caught Manny pretty good, but Marquez is truly a great fighter with good power; he's KO'd world champions who have never been stopped in his only two fights at 135. Barrera and Morales were also very good punchers granted they're smaller than Cotto, but Manny's chin may hold up as he fills out in weight.

N'dou- That wasn't even close to rinning it's called boxing
Torres and Corley- true he was buzzed in both fights but he was also weight drained and came back like champ to win both of those fights by KO.
Judah-Again with your bull****, Cotto dominated Judah something the Mr. boat buyer and Clottey couldn't do.
Mosley- A very convincing win against a future hall of famer, again he outboxed Mosley in the later rounds he didn't run.
Plasterito- No need for explanation in this only a dumb nuthugger like yourself would try to use this to prove something against Cotto.
Clottey- Did what he needed to win, he had a huge gash couldn't see out of one eye yet he keep fighting when he could have easily taken the easy way out.

I disagree witht that one. Cotto was bothered by the cut.

The fact that the biggest name on his resume is Mosley who is 38 yrs old or something and way out of his prime just tells you Cotto is a tad over hyped.. When Joe calzaghe does it its a nothing win, when Cotto does its a great win

Hell it was sooo convincing i had Cotto winning by 2 rounds or so!! his imitations of Oscar Dela Hoya towards the end were fantastic tho 10/10! Mosley coming in with "trying to blast him out" tactics and No Nasim at the time had nothing to do with the outcome at all!

To be honest he is a good fighter but if you listened to people on here he is Tito 2 or something.. If he lands Flush i would expect him to take Pac out tho. The few Shots Hatton landed seemed to have him ruffled the problem Cotto has is getting to him and getting past that speed.

Saying that tho Pacs chin is sick go watch the cheap full on shot Barrera takes to him, were he is totally unprepared dude didnt go down.. but can he cope with real top ww power i dunno..

I fail to see how those are flaws. Cotto ended up winning all those fights (except Tony) and has proven his toughness. All that says is that Cotto can overcome obstacles and end up prevailing.

Despite the dancing and gassing, Cotto has only lost once.

He had to be doing something right despite his vulnerabilities.

I am not a huge fan of his late round time outs, but hell, he wins most of them so he obviously is winning more rounds in total.

                      And he fights everyone.

It doesn't have to be pretty if he gets his hands raised at the end.
