The problem with Cotto he is an A-level fighter but still not the elite fight due to his stamina.

His jab and speed is underrated but there is alot of things he got to work on to become a top notch.
      Agreed, good post.

never underestmate bodyshots. They take away power they dramatical loses stamina. Even with a poker face if someone commeitted to his bodyshot at the end the other fight will fall like a tree.

Just watch Kostya Tyzu vs Vince Philips you would know what I mean. Or even David Daiz vs Santa Cruz.

As for speed it very hard to brawl against someone having alot of speed. one punch vs 3 or 4 punch.

Also Cotto didnt fight a person with the size and speed of pac

After the Margarito fight Cotto is not the same fighter. Clottey almost got him. Against the Pacman is different fight because he can't run, he is toooooo slow. Just like Teddy Atlas said, "Manny Pacquiao is a complete fighter now. He has tremendous speed, a puncher who knows when to punch. And we arent seeing his peak yet".

If the fight happens in 145 lbs. dont expect Cotto to fight the same intensity, just imagine that.

Zab Judah - busted up and almost did the chicken dance himself
Shane Mosley - gassed and running in the end, again
Antonio Margarito - beatdown and quit
Joshua Clottey - gassed and running, yet again

Props to Miguel for making it this far and finding a way to win the above fights with the exception of the Margarito beatdown. In Manny Pacquiao he faces one of the very best, elite fighters of this era, regardless of the weight difference. And with the kind of vulnerabilities he's shown in the past, chances are pretty damn good that he won't make it to the final bell against the Pacman.

And no, this is not hating, as many of you will be quick to call it. I'm just analyzing the upcoming fight and calling it how I see it.
All the reasons why Pacquiao and Mayweather would beat Cotto.

              STFU.

Because he got 1 loss he isn't the same fighter? NO. That 1 loss had revealed ALL of Cotto's weaknesses and Clottey exploited all of that **** but loss because of a lack of work rate.

Cotto is the same mother ****er people. His weaknesses are just revealed now. Once you lose, people can figure out how to beat you. That's all that changed. His invincible shield has been destroyed.

please. cotto was never an undefeated fighter with an invincible aura, not at all. he showed his weaknesses time and time again before he lost, as stated by the thread starter. he was wobbled, dropped and almost stopped against a C+ puncher in ricardo torres, he has gassed in a couple of fights (although not in the N'Dou fight IMO).

Im picking Manny. I dont think 2 pounds makes anyone weight drained if im honest, cotto doesnt seem like hes ever had real problems making '47, so no worries there, i just think mannys the better fighter. his handspeed and head movement make him the favorite to pick cotto to pieces i think, and if pac hits you enough times, you will go down. regardless of weight.

how can you say that? He was undefeated and he was hyped to be a killing machine with body punches that send you to hell blah blah blah. Real boxing fans knew what he was about but the Cooter-stans nope. Until he lost, no one knew how to fight him.

Now everyone knows: Pressure and work rate, turns Cotto to dust.

well every fight will turn to dust with these two things.

Cotto is good but not a person who people will bring back memrose after 10 years after he retires.

if people here rarely put thread about Bobby Chacon, Salvador Sanchez, Alexis Agrulleo, Lemon Bazooka...etc those fight where much better and has alot more heart then today's fight and they are rarely mentioned so I dont think Cotto would be mention that much in the future
