He also posseses fast recovery when stunned. He has proven his toughness. If Pacquiao can't hurt him, he is fucked. Pac can have some success early on with his speed alone but Cotto's style has historically neutralized speedy boxers(Judah, Quintana...both southpaws).

        Thoughts?
To me Pac's power is no myth. It's generated by his speed. As per Newton's law. FORCE = MASS times ACCELARATION. As you can see, the force of the punch is directly proportional to the speed in which the punch was thrown. Just take the example of a single bullet, it may be small but it's velocity is it's greatest factor in destroying anything in it's path. Cotto may have the bigger MASS but PAC's got the advantage in speed. I'm more concerned if PAC can take COTTO's power rather than can PAC hurt COTTO. This is the only thing that troubles me in predicting a Pacquiao win.

Exactly, speed = power. When I quoted Rashad Holloway who compared Margarito and Pacquiao's power (he sparred with them both) I was called a ******. What do you think of Rashad saying Pacquiao's power hurt more than Margarito's?

That's the kind of power that startles you and can put you down.

When you have a heavy-handed individual, which is what I consider Margarito, his punches aren't the type that hurt you with one shot but an accumulation of them can put you down."

im glad how you infer if pac survived against a dehydrated old oscar..he can survive against a young, prime, hardhitting warrior, that like jr said...does real good against speedy fighters. but sense...sense...what's sense anymore in these forums?

pac and cotto fans can't be measured with the same standard, because for puertorican Cotto is just a good fighter that you go out to club and watchi his fights while you party, and Pacquiao is like a God to these people that have never had anybody to bring anything meaningful to their existence. Cotto steamrolls pacquiao within 5 rounds.

If you even joke about Cotto with some people, they get their panties in a bunch. Cotto fans can be as guilty as irrational Pac fans.

They both are very good, but some people take the nuthuggery, Pinoys and Boricuas alike, to irrational extremes.

Not sure about all that, I do wanna see how Pac takes those shots from Cotto thou. If he's still standing after taking Cotto's best shots, Cotto will get on his bike and outbox him. Can't wait for this fight.
