So although he's already agreed to fight in the tourney, if Palle takes it court and prevents him from being able to fight, as he's threatening to do, you're saying that's Kessler's fault?Comment

I don't think so. I think he's saying that the tournament shouldn't wait for Kessler to sort out his problems. Either he is ready or he should be replaced.Comment

Kessler need to do this. Bones like this isn't thrown to every dog in the yard.. Palle better not **** it up.Comment

Kessler needs to get his problems resolved, period. It's past the point where he gets a pass. He has lost all kinds of credibility and using the Palle excuse is over. There's only so long that excuses last, after that, it's just not being done. I know Kessler isn't scared and I know he's a good fighter, but he just doesn't want it enough. Pay palle, or fight the remainder of your fights in your contract, or go fight in uzbekistan or something. It's horribly bad judgement to let the opportunities that he has missed out on pass you by. Guys in Eurpoe are making big bucks and selling out stadiums. With that much money being on the line, there has to be a way to resolve this, even if kessler has to take an l in his battle with palle.
all that being said. I don't care if he fights in the tourney, i just want to see active fighters that are going to try and make something out of themselves.Comment

**** the contract he should just fight in the US and say **** Denmark. Why snake himself outta the tourney cause some cut-rate promoter from a third world country is catching feelings?
At some point the guy has to to do what he wants and just suffer the consequences later, most boxers end up broke anyway whats a lawsuit?Last edited by Jone2ts; 07-06-2009, 05:13 PM.Comment

I don't know why you say that. I suppose he can get nice paydays hiding in Denmark and fighting bums time and time again. But if he keeps doing it while these other contenders and title holders step up to the plate and fight each other, then his number 1 ranking in the division should be replaced by the winner of the tournament. And it doesn't matter if people think Kessler can beat that particular individual. Saying he can and him doing are two different things.Comment

Are you completely unaware of the situation with Palle? He's had no choice. The bums you refer to were mandatories, and one of those took place in Germany, not Denmark; and Palle has now started to prevent him from even fighting mandatories any more; and for the last two years Palle has prevented him from fighting anyone who isn't a mandatory. Palle is like a much more evil version of Don King (but not so frightening to look at).Comment
