And Juan Diaz, having been through that gruelling Campbell fight was ready to be taken. Also Mayweather will have a 5/6 inch reach advantage, which he certainly knows how to use.

I think I gave Marquez a couple of years more than he is, but he's had a lot of "wear and tear", and whilst he is very skilful himself, the disadvantages are to great. Mayweather wasn't really retired, and has been keeping in shape all the time.

      Floyd Mayweather=OVERRATED!!!!

floyd is not that good of a fighter because he runs like a ***** cause he knows he has no power in his punches so he runs and the people he ko'd were only tired from chasing him. Juan Manuel Marquez is a real fighter he has power in his punches and he can counter punch hella good and he has a lighting quick JAB and he can brawl watch the 2 Pacquiao fights JMM beat his ass he should of won both fights. JMM jab will be the key to beat a runner like Mayweather and if mayweather hits JMM he has a very good chin and is very tough. i think it will kind of a boring fight because It will be a counter puncher Vs a guy who runs. JUAN MANUEL MARQUEZ #1

I will not pay for that circus.

Mayweather is pretty much larger(neck, arms, body, shoulders, reach),and as much as I dislike maypicker, you don't beat a fast smart fighter like him if you're so smaller.
Every athletic attribute are on the PBF side,Marquez isn't a cherry pickin fraud like gayfeather but unfortunately isn't really more skilled or faster, isn't a big puncher at 145.SO,
Juan Ma'll never won that fight, and'll never be competitive.
Marquez was in deep waters with baby Diaz and Casa.
How can you think he'll be competitive against Mayweather too??

        That fight'll be ****.
It will be a talented welterweight jerk battering an humble, class and great lightweight.

I'll not pay for dat ****.

I'll not get caught by the hype and desperate nacho comments.

I think it was Casamayor, who hasn't been anywhere near his best or several years already.

Mayweather, old fishmouth, has a big advantage in size, youth, speed, and at least equal skills. Marquez is badly misplaced as the $2 lb for lb. He's there mainly because of his showings against Manny P. when Manny wasn't nearly as good as he is now.

          Just my opinion.
in your opinion, david diaz, present de la hoya, and ricky hatton brought out the best in pacquiao in a course of a year? And im pretty sure fighters get placed on the P4P list based on their showings in the ring, regardless if you are fighting a big name. Thats kind of why fighters like Ivan Calderon make it on there. If Marquez had not fought Manny Pacquiao, im pretty sure his fights with marco antonio barrera, rocky juarez, joel casamayor, and juand diaz would have given him a little, juuuust a litle spot light to place him on that number 2 spot. Not to mention the fight that would have happened in place of pacquiao, which would be any of the top contenders at 130 or 135 on HBO. In conclusion, JMM would have still been at the #2, not bernard hopkins, not shane mosley, but JMM.

I'm looking more forward to this fight than the one between Pacquiao and Cotto. Pacquiao knows Cotto is suffering from a bad cut, a bad performance against Clottey, and a bad corner. The Mayweather-Marquez fight will be more competitive in my view. I know Mayweather has been out of the ring for two years, but you can't say that he struggled to win his last fight like Cotto did. He blasted Ricky Hatton out late in the fight even after getting off to a slow start. Pacquiao got the left over version of him. JMM is at the top of his game as well, unlike Cotto is. I like Manny more than Mayweather, but I'm just calling it how I see it.

I just can't wait to see how May***** reacts when he's faced with a tough, smart fighter in front of him whom rather than fall apart in the later rounds, actually gets better...

I'm happy to see it's not just Mayweather fans seeing through that BS. I love how now that Mayweather is fighting Marquez, he's not a credible fighter, but when Pac fights him he's #2 P4P. Even Pac thought he lost that fight, check his reaction at the end. Not one expert gave Pac that fight, not even ONE. http://www.boxrec.com/media/index.ph...2nd_meeting%29 . Marquez deserved a rematch, instead he took on credible talent, talent pac wouldn't dare test.

He isn't moving up two weight classes. This fight will be an even weight fight, Mayweather will just have a higher muscle::weight ratio.

Marquez WEIGHED IN FIGHT NIGHT AT 147 against Diaz.

Mayweather barely increases weight during fight night. Weighs in 147 and comes to fight 148.

The fight will be on even ground. Quit trying to make it seem like Marquez is smaller in weight. He is just smaller in mass.
