He needs to be strong and quicker not slower, weights will not make you faster unless you move them in a quick motion. Slow motion makes you slower , igniting lightning moves make for quick twitch muscle fibers.

The ONLY reason I would buy this fight is just to watch JMM , the game little bulldog, use his wit and skill to counter or time Mayweahter, you hurt him ,, you better look out , he is a bad man when hurt. I won't expect JMM to win, but I will be on the edge of my seat hoping he wins.

Mayweather better brutally KO JMM or he can go back into HIDING !

I fully co-sign this sentiment. Floyd is going to be in for one Hell of a shock (as are a lot of Boxingscene posters) if they expect Marquez is going in there to play his part and act as a tune-up!

Marquez lays down for no man, 147lbs or not, this one will go right down to the wire. I think Floyd will walk away with a narrow decision however, after adapting and snatching the later rounds one way or another

I still think people are overlooking Mayweather's inactivity. I'm not saying the weight is a big issue, because I think it's going to be play a big role in this fight, however Mayweather's inactivity brings this fight more closer to neutral ( not saying it's neutral ) Marquez is going to have to fight the fight of his life and everyone knows Marquez has the power to hurt Mayweather- The Challenge is catching him. I have a feeling this is going to end JMM career. He's going up two weight classes and is fighting a guy who is probably the worst style match up for him in all of boxing.

I think he and Nacho talked about getting the Pac rematch, when that didn't happen they realized that a big name for him would be his best chance to a final big payday.

He's 35 years old, still a great fighter but I think he won't be able to deal with Mayweather's speed or power. People forget how Mayweather was knocking people out at 130 before he moved up. This will benefit Mayweather even if they are fighting at a ctach weight of 144 because it just won't be a natural weight for JMM.

I'm in JMM's corner but I think he finally bit off more than he can chew.
