I think its more or less he wants to get belts or star status fights.

Clottey really has nothing to offer. he doesnt draw that much and a win over him wont really put him that much closer to fighting anyone at WW. If he beats clottey which he most likely will and probably more impressive than Cotto. I still feel Cotto Mosley Floyd and anyone at WW wouldnt want any part of what he brngs to the table. hes just too much of a danger to the 147 lb division.

        What!

Didn't clottey just give away a fight against cotto! If he fights clottey then he is chasing cotto leftovers, blah blah blah!

He should take that belt that all the 154lbers are holding hostge. *** all the wws. They are the fairies of boxing. Chasing each other around like locker room cheerleaders. Using the money excuse when they fight fighters who are little known regardless but then its about $ when PW comes in. Or fighters who only speak about opponents when they are smaller and weaker, otherwise its "up to my ppl". Or how about the "our styles don't match up".

Theres so much more skill at WW. Thats reason ther are no big names at 154.

As for the Fairies of boxing?? psh your mistaken man thats just disrespect to the most talented level of boxing

Paul Williams is an excellent fighter. That being said, he doesn't put asses in seats.
The primary goal of most of these guys is to make as much money as they can, end of story.

Paul Williams is too high risk too low financial reward for the big guns.

Williams deserves fights on merit, but that doesn't tranlate into financial gain so he gets frozen out.

Pwill would dismantle the 154 division. there isnt that much talent there. 147 I say Cotto Clottey and Mosley all give him problems BUT i still feel he beats them. hes too determined and his workrate is nutzo they cant hangw ith that

He can fight Clottey if he cant get a fight, But HBO still need to approve the fight though but since clottey fought cotto he has put himself in the shop window even if he didnt win that fight, Remember HBO reject the Williams/clottey fight before so maybe they would be interested now.

IDK if he can clean out the division because sergio martinez. That would be his biggest problem at 154.I think Paul Williams fighting Clottey makes no sense because if paul beats clottey .No one will then give clottey a fight.Paul williams throws to many punches for clottey, and clotteys workrate is low so I got paul william U.D

Paul's choices are limited but he's gotta stay active. If Clottey wants the fight, take it. It may be a step backward but maybe Goosen can look at it this way: if Paul demolishes Clottey, then his standing increases since Cotto barely sc****d by. More TV exposure wouldn't hurt either. A resounding win over Clottey may scare other fighters even more. But it also gives Paul more fan support when he calls out his opponents. The networks will notice this.
