Margarito Says The Weight Will Hurt Cotto With Pacquiao

Former three time welterweight champion Antonio Margarito told The Record that he believes the agreed upon catch-weight of 145-pounds will be an issue for WBO welterweight champion Miguel Cotto when he steps in the ring with Manny Pacquiao on November 14 in Las Vegas. [details]

Margarito is smarter than his boxing style says.

Cotto without a doubt will be hurting with an even bigger weight cut. Pacquiao will end up looking like he is incredibly good and Cotto will probably look like ODLH.

I agree with Margarito, Yes Cotto has weighed in at 145/146 before for a welterweight fight but he wasnt restricted by any contract, the 145 contract is more of a mental thing which i think would affect him.

oh my god, now its a mental thing? 1lb difference from his clottey fight & the 4 or 5 times he's weighed in below 147 for a welterweight fight is now a mental thing.

tony has no right to talk about physical advantages & disadvantages.
