Williams - Pavlik is going to happen. If it doesn't go through you can blame Top Rank again. Why on earth is Top Rank getting 500K and getting all the gate revenue. At least Williams should get a decent amount.

I dont think hes ducking him given he has fought clottey margarito and Mosley.

however, I have a feeling he might just take teh challenge given he beats pacquiao.

if he doesnt choose to fight Williams then i would consider him ducking. problem also is right now WIlliams is campaigning at 160-154 right now.

if he fights at 147 he might be ready for the taking.

I also think that Pwill needs to take some more 147 fights whoever they might be cause he would come in at the scale just bones

When you want to fight a guy you go to his territory and get the fight, so what is Paul doing @ 160? same **** could be said about Paul moving up cause he's avoiding Cotto but that's not the case there is no money here for Cotto so he's taking care of bussines @ he's division if Paul want's him get in line and do what others have done call the guy out like Manny, Shane, Margarito,ect did, and Paul has unfinished bussines with Carlos Quintana they are 1-1 why dont call him out same thing could be said there Carlos got lucky on the 1st fight and Paul got lucky on the 2nd one, think about that!?!?

Carlos fought the fight of his life the first tiem and Paul knocked him the F out the second time. I think Paul steam rolled him the second time and there is no unfinished business there in my mind. Paul needs to pick a weight class and stick to it. Plant his falg win a title and defend it a few times this will force fighter to come to him. I got no beef with Williams I just think he needs to make a name for him self somewhere and build up a fan base. the guy is exciting and throws alot of punches. He needs to change promoters and line up big fights in a weight class where he can do so. I think he is best suited at 160-168....Lefty

williams had a rematch clause on the contract. yes, he beat Q by Ko but quintana school him in the first fight. It was NOT a close fight. there's a lot of people that believe they need to fight again.

The fight was a very close fight. Carlos Q won by 2 rounds. That is why Harold Letterman scored it for Williams.

A lot of people thought Clottey - Cotto was close. They need to fight again. A lot of people thought Clottey - Margarito was close. They need to fight again

Williams is getting 1.25 to 1.55 million for fighting Kelly Pavlik he is getting the chance to become Undisputed Champion of a prestigious division. He will get major exposer with this fight seeing how they are going to have it follow the replay of the Floyd JMM fight on HBO September 26th. He should take that into consideration and say F the gate and the sponserships. Forget about Felix Sturm you are fighting Paul Williams. Go in there take the titles and write his own check next time out. If he was waiting for opportunity to knock then he should take the cotton out of his ears because it don't knock much ouder then this. You need to forget about Cotto and and the WW....Lefty

Exactly why Williams should take the fight he is being offered from PAvlik and make his own way at MW. He can dethrone the MW Champ and write his own check from here on out. Unless he is happy fighting the Andy Kolles and Veron Phillips of the bxing world....Lefty

PLEASEEEEEE...cotto fights many guys these other welterweights avoid. This is just a cotto-hater thread. I can do the same and ask why mosley avoids clottey or floyd avoids clottey, cotto or margarito, etc.

williams isnt gonna fight at WW anymore, people dont realize this, he hasnt been there in over a year, he's done at WW, and the reason why cotto didnt fight him was because williams probbably wanted to much money, and cotto only fights who his promotion tells him to, and have you heard cotto's interviews???? he doesnt sound like he follows boxing all that much, some boxers are like that, and since williams cant draw flies to ****, i wouldent be suprised if cotto has any idea who williams is. lol
