Why is Cotto ducking Williams?

Naw Cotto has never mentioned Williams ever.

I never heard him call anyone out.

But you'd rank that amongst Williams best victories if he were to fight Cotto and beat him right?..

So why are you so thirsty to see Williams beat Cotto if he's only C-Level?..oh you nuthuggers amuse me!!...

Cotto is far from a C Level fighter. he is one of the TOP WW in the world anyone who think otherwise is plain ******.

Cotto is ducking PWill because its an OBVIOUS bad style match up. Cotto took on Margarito because Cotto and his camp thought that he could beat Margarito because he is slow. Well, now he knows different.

Paul Williams is basically the same exact fighter as Margarito except that Paul is faster and smarter. So why fight someone you know you CANT beat?

He fought Margarito because Bob Arum was in a win win situation. I truly think Cotto would get in there with whom ever they put in front of him. When he fought Tony it made sense and dollars for Arum.

Yet Cotto fought Clottey....The guy from Ghana whos best win is a shot judah????

Clottey had given Tony trobule and was ready to get in there with Williams but HBO wouldn't put up enough money for it so what did Williams and his camp do oh yeah they took on Verno Phillips right???? Cotto fought Clottey for much of the same reason he did Tony it made dollars and sense for Arum. Two TOP RANK fighters going at it Arum was in a win win situation and oh yeah Clottey is also ranked among the TOP 3 or 4 at WW.

Cotto aint scared of Paul, he would fight Paul if that was the best fight for him, but it wasn't. Why fight Paul when he got fights with Mosley and Margarito that made him more money than a Paul Williams fight would have made for him. Now he's fighting Pac and will probably make more money that Paul has made in his entire career.


When was the last time that Paul made 147? I think he can't even make it anymore.

I don't know if Paul can make 147 or not and be healthy at this point. To me Paul has two decent wins Tony and Winky. Besides that I have seen him two time against Quintana and two other times against Andy Kolle and Verno Phillips. He has fought at three different weights in the last 2 years and has not planted his flag anywhere steady. Williams and his fans should shut up about Cotto and every other WW and take the 1.25 to 1.5 mil and fight Pavlik....Lefty

Cotto fought and get knock the F U C K out by a fighter in which Williams already beat. Williams will put Cotto in the garbage. Cotto will realize how C level fighter he is when he steps in the ring against Williams.

Cotto is a freakin middleweigt. Good thing for cotto to avoid him. I am not recognizing margarito's career until i see him back in the ring against a top 10 welterweight. Since he was suspended i have NO respect for his career. I know he beat up cotto but the same mosley that destroyed margarito....got beat by cotto.

I dont think hes ducking him given he has fought clottey margarito and Mosley.

however, I have a feeling he might just take teh challenge given he beats pacquiao.

I find it funny how everyone was quick to jump off the Williams bad wagon when he got his a$$ handed to him by Quintana. Then now everyone jumping back on the bandwagon. Dude is not unbeatable and has poor footwork...Quintana proved that **** to the fullest. I think Williams is a bada$$ dude but there are still questions about him in my opinion. Like how about having a rubber match with Quintana...Maybe Williams got "lucky" just like Quintana got "lucky" but the difference is Williams got "lucky" for one round where Quintana got "lucky" for 12 rds...hmmm makes me wonder.

2nd: Out of all the Welterweights I think we can all agree that the least "ducking" has been by Cotto, who pretty much has fought all the top welterweights win, lose, or draw. Nobody else in that divsion has fought all the guys Cotto fought. Right now Cotto is trying to land a mega fight with Pacquiao, which would be beneficial financially and for Legacy sake as well. Right now Manny is #1 P4P not Williams. So spare me with all the ducking bs cause the man is fighting up not down. If Cotto was to fight someone like Koji Numata instead of Paul Williams then sure I see where your aguement might have validity but for now it holds no water.
