JOURNEY MEN??? Wlad has fought his mandatory and the best guy available .. American journalists .. Even Troy whom I respect.. just cant hide their disdain and bias when it comes to Wladimir Klitschko..
I for one am fed up.. I have decided to ban American journalists from my life when it comes to the heavyweights.. and good fucking riddance...
What a bunch of sore losing sucks...

Povetkin
Povetkin is the only one out of that group that deserves a title shot. Haye should not be on that list, just because what he did at Cruiserwieght doesn't warrant him a shot at HW. Guys like Hatton and smaller fighters moving up from those wieght classes is a different story, it's easy to move up 5 pounds, it's not that much a difference, moving from Cruiserwieght to HW is totally different, alot more pounds to gain, because the competition is a hole lot bigger. Name one Cruiserwieght in history that had 1 HW fight and fought for the title? Well Haye would have been the first and still might if he gets Vitali. Holyfield fought 6 heavywieghts before he got his shot and 4 of them were top 10 contenders.

99% of it come from American journalists who present their opinions as NEWS and FACT..and An insecure American public eats it up..
Yes.. your article is not as bad as some.. But the fact remains.. Even in giving credit.. you 1st had to establish a so called Dearth of talent.. which is only true on the American scene.. Go figure

Originally posted by HeartAttack View Postno it's true for the entire division. Tell me, what European is proven? The youth movement in the heavyweights are primarily Americans at the moment. You have Boytsov, Pala, Povetkin, Dimitrenko, and Pianeta. I'm sure I missed a name in there. As for Americans it's Chambers, Arreola, Johnson, Wilder, Scott, and Hamer. And then Solis is somewhere south of us but fights out of Germany but is based in the US, it's confusing. Tell me though, who here is the most proven that wasn't covered in the article? Wlad and Vitali are two very good heavyweights in a mediocre era. These young guys have a chance to make their era something, but will Wlad hang on long enough to stake his claim on theirs' as well?
after these top guys... the heavyweights haven't changed .. the talent pool has always been somewhat shallow
1976 Heavyweight rankings
1976
Champ- Muhammad Ali
1. George Foreman
2. Ken Norton
3. Jimmy Young
4. Duane Bobick
5. Ron Lyle
6. Larry Holmes
7. Howard Smith
8. Johnny Boudreaux
9. Stan Ward
10.Joe Bugner
You have your champ
a few top contenders
an up an comer
and a bunch of stiffs
please explain how today is any different??
Well for one It's Euros now..and THAT is it...
I dont see how the boxers of yesterday are better than the boxers of today
every other form of athletics has improved with time not declined.. people are more fit for longer.. in the 80's at age 30.. in the NHL.. you were done.. today players play well into their late 30's at a high level..
Why would boxing be the exception?? men have gotten bigger stronger faster better trained better nutrition .. yet it seems in boxing today the men are Clubbers with ZERO skill..
Again.. that would just seem to be the American scene.. The Euros are in great shape
