The bum was probably better than Miranda.

In fact, a scalded dog is probably better than Miranda.

Actually, déjŕ ands I don't always agree, but kessler is currently a certified *****. However be won't be if he goes through with this. But déjŕ, kess fought andrade and calzaghe in the last 4 yes which is more than you can say for duckweather.

Reeno, don't tease me like this. I won't forget if ur lying.

I honestly think that Kessler has been going through management troubles for a while now and is trying to avoid being sued by his manager for fighting out of contract but I don't know for sure though.

Showtime seem to be freezing them out on purpose. But that makes the tournament lose all credibility for me - how can you have a tournament for divisional supremacy but freeze out the #2 ranked fighter in the division? That's insane. I have no idea what they think they're playing at, and I'm puzzled that the article doesn't even mention that aspect.

The other thing the article doesn't mention is why Abraham isn't fighting Pavlik first. They said a couple of months ago that Pavlik-Abraham was going to happen this year, then it all went quiet, but there has been no explanation of why, although both boxers have said recently that they want to fight each other. That's also insane.

Odd article title, too. "Shocker" implies something bad and deplorable, but other than the fact that Bute has been frozen out and Abraham isn't fighting Pavlik, neither of which the article even mentions, I can't see anything bad about this at all.

Regarding Pavlik-Abraham at 160 .. isn't that Pavlik-Mora fight which was supposed to happen June 27th being rescheduled? as I believe Kelly has a fight vs Sergio Mora first before he can get to Abraham.

apart from that, it is a good idea, but unfortunately too long a period of time from start to end - whether we like it or not, they should have shorter fights over a shorter period of time - to keep people interested.
Bolded what I found to be the biggest discrepencies and or problems with the Tourney.

In theory it's a great idea, and definetly generates a lot of interest in the division, but agreed on "point 1"

as if say Abraham stops Taylor, what will the interest be in wanting to watch Taylor vs Kessler, Ward or even Dirrell?

great idea by Showtime, and nice to think outside the box (round robin style)

but Don Kong's Middleweight Tourney at the Garden was much more to the point.

**hopefully this Showtime Tournament can come off in some variation or another.

Foreman destroyed Frazier, then Ali destroyed Foreman, then Ali had the toughest fight of his life against Frazier.

Foreman also destroyed Norton, who beat Ali once, and arguably deserved to beat Ali three times.

                    Styles make fights.

But only last week they were nevertheless talking about Pavlik-Sturm possibly happening this year, except HBO lowballed it, yet there was no mention of Pavlik-Abraham. That's weird.
