Yeah, I was trying to figure out where the money for this would come from myself.

Apparently, the sky or maybe trees. money just grows on it.

They'd have to sell out a big venue for this, and promote it heavy, and it's still going to be a huge risk.

That's why there's this thing called negotiations. And plus Goosen gets a lot of money from the West Coast casinos and they may try throwing Arreola on the undercard. I don't think this offer is unrealistic. If they overpaid for a Winky-Paul fight, you know they will pony up the cash for Mosley to fight Williams.

        Dude, that fight bombed financially.

However, the Williams-Wright fight was a financial bomb, where most of the tickets were given away. There was a reason the lighting was so dark inside the arena on Saturday night, and it wasn't for the ambience.

Promoters are notorious for making bull**** offers for big fights just to keep their own boxers thinking that he is working hard for them. Also the boxing internet sites will always publish this stuff.

So do people not want to see this fight? Mosley needs to lower his expectations monetarily because he isn't landing a fight against Pacquiao. A fight against Clottey wouldn't draw any better than a fight with Williams. And as I mentioned earlier Berto shouldn't even be mentioned. That fight would be Ruiz like before Mosley knocked his overrated ass out. No interest in that fight from me.

You and I would Iceta, maybe not people, well people that bring the casinos money.
That's really the issue here. It's the casual fans and gamblers not coming, not us real fans.

Mosley is trying to hit a home run and Williams is only a single or a double at most.

But yeah, I'd like the fight. Sure. why not.

no, you paul huggers are unbelieveable. Mosley has a really good chance against paul. It's a toss up though, mosley is physically stronger than paul and will be able to push him around the ring.

I would be shocked if Mosley decided to sit out the rest of the year because he couldn't land a fight with Pacquiao. I mentioned earlier that I had no interest in seeing Mosley fight Berto. But to be honest, I would rather see that happen than have Mosley sit out the rest of the year. The fight would kind of piss me off though, because I don't think Berto deserves a shot at Mosley like Paul Williams does. A lot of people think Berto got beat by Collazo. So why should a guy who barely sc****d by Mosley's left overs deserve a fight with Mosley? On the other hand, you have a guy who holds a decisive win over a guy who is at least a borderline case for the HOF and has two victories over Mosley. Winky Wright is a way better fighter than Collazo. I'm not a fan of either guy though.

You have to remember that Margarito got paid practically the same money he did fighting Paul Williams as he did Cotto. I think even more unless the PPV cut that Margarito got from the Cotto fight was a big factor. I don't know for sure if that $4 million offer was legit or not. But the fact that we never found out is something that needs to be blamed more on Margarito and Arum, because they didn't even make any effort to try to negotiate a fight with Williams after Margarito beat Cotto. In my view, Margarito looks pretty ****** right now for the fact that he got knocked the f#ck out by a guy in his late thirties for half that money that was offered for a fight with Paul Williams.
