Mosle is not getting a Pacquiao fight
and he is not getting a mayweather fight untill late 2010 at the earliest..

So instead of staying inactive... he should fight Paul Williams for the ring belt at 147... which the ring said they would put up if somebody fights Paul Williams at 147..

This offer is pretty fair from Goosen. You have to remember though that he offered $4 million to Margarito. So why only $3 million to Mosley? Williams is supposedly in negotiations to fight Sergei D. But they may be stalling that to see if Mosley will bite the bait. On top of that, HBO may not approve of Sergei D. as an opponent for Williams since he is so unknown over here in America.

You're absolutely right about the fact that if Williams scheduled a fight at 147, the Ring would automatically rank him at #2. He'd have to fight Mosley for the Ring belt though. Nobody else would qualify. The championship would also be crowned if a rematch between Cotto and Mosley happened. But we all know that's not in the agenda right now.

HBO will approve that fight. They were going to televise James Kirkland Vs Sergei so why not Paul V Sergei. Mosley should take the fight with Williams though.
