People who want to used this size argument need to ask them self a question..

How many fights did Roy Jones have at Heavyweight before he fought John RUIZ?

And John Ruiz fought at Heavyweight his whole career basically and had a tremendous size advantage..

So how did Roy win that fight?
if size and power too some of you guys is majority of the reason guys win fights.
and is the determination if a guy is in a tough fight?

bad argument. Cotto was as high as #2 #3 P4P, and he's a much bigger fighter than JMM. Comparing who's gonna be a tougher matchup JMM vs Cotto is lame. Cotto >>>>>> JMM. Make a poll and find out.

        John ruiz was never ****.

          Ruiz is/was a **** HW
          Cotto is not ****.

the smaller guy will only win against the bigger guy if he has significantly more skills, and an ability not to get hit (assuming he doesnt have a chin that can take the shots). JMM may be a counter puncher but he likes getting into a fight. Cotto would KO him and if someone asked u that question before Floyd and JMM talked about fighting each other u would agree too. be honest ffs.

            John ruiz was never ****.
Cotto has never been #2 or 3 pound 4 pound in the world.

JMM does everything better than Cotto.
the only advantage Cotto has over JMM is size.

now when comparing who will be a tougher fight for Mayweather.

if you say cotto...Primarily based on size..
            then you are wrong.

Because if that is the case.
Then the Oscar of 2007 was and is a tougher fight for Floyd than a Cotto fight ever will be. because that Oscar was bigger, stronger, and had more power than cotto... and Floyd still won that fight.

            Size doesnt always wins fights.
            Skills win fights
            Brains wins fights
            Experience wins fights

If sizes always wins fights we wouldn't have fighters winning titles in 3 4,5,and 6 weight classes

Skills have a bigger part to winning fights
            than size does.

            History proves that!

Juan M. Marquez is a better fighter than Cotto..
JMM is better in every boxing catergory than cotto.
JMM is smarter and has more experience than cotto

and the only thing cotto has on JMM is size and power.

but is size and power tHe primary weapon a fighter will have to have to beat floyd?

when has that ever worked against floyd?

Zab Judah showed you that a fighter who has some kind of skill set will give floyd trouble.

Carlos Baldomir showed you that you will need more than size to beat floyd
Deigo Corralles showed you that you will need more than power to beat floyd
Oscar De la hoya showed you that you will need more than size and power to beat floyd.

            So with that said...

How is Cotto a tougher fight than JMM?

              .
JMM is better than cotto, but jmm has no business fighting @ WW against someone who arguably (a weak case can be made, but the comparison is valid) is one of the best to ever lace them up.

That said... you make valid arguments about skill overcoming size, EXCEPT FLOYD HAS ALREADY SAID THAT JMM IS A SMALLER MAN AND A SMALLER MAN CAN NEVER BEAT HIM THUS DESTROYING YOUR ARGUMENTS.

Aint it a biitch trying to defend floyd??

I dunno why u wanna discuss this some more. Floyd already said a he was the bigger man and that jmm is the smaller man, and that he (floyd) would never lose to a smaller man. Therefore, cotto being the bigger man, automatically is a tougher fight. This coming straight from the horse's mouth.

Pacquiao has three losses, a draw, and one gift decision.

Floyd has no losses, no draws, and one gift decision.

For that and other reasons, Mayweather has proven himself to be the better fighter in his career so far, although Pacquiao's not far behind.
