The trouble with this is youre comparing Manny to fights almost 10 years ago. Manny's evolved since then. You try to point out things like, "outboxed by washed up Erik Morales", but no one said Morales was washed up at that point until years later, even after Manny beat him twice (also not mentioned)

Youre also overlooking their resumes. I dont want to start naming everyone cuz its been beaten to death.

    * Pacquiao at 24 is not beating A Prime, Undisputed, Best Body Puncher in boxing in Jose Luis Castillo
    * Pacquiao at 23 is not beating a Undefeated, Prime #5 P4P fighter Diego Corrales
    * Pacquiao at 21 is not beating Genaro Hernandez
    * Pacquiao at 23 is not beating A Prime #4 ranked in the division Jesus Chavez
At around age 24, Pacquaio beat a primed Barrera, who at the time was top ten P4P. Im not gonna fault Manny for not being at those weight classes and times to beat JLC etc. It's not far fetched to think Manny wouldnt be able to do it. Imagine Floyd going thorugh Barrera, Marquez and JMM at featherweight.

how is pacquiao higher on your all time list...when we have to judge their whole career???

You have to remember when Manny Pacquiao was getting Knockout
Floyd Mayweather was winning fighter of the year awards and beat fighters like Genaro Hernandez.

You have to remember pacquiao was 21 years old when he got knock out in the 3 round ....

Ask yourself what was Mayweather doing when he was 21 years old?

.I will give you the answer.. He was winning Fighter of the year awards by knocking out fighters like Genaro Hernandez who never lost at 130.
By Knocking out fellow top ranked contenders like Angel Manfredy.

While Pacquiao was getting Knockout by No name opponents.. Mayweather was winning Fighter of the year awards by fighting world class opponents...

      Just think about that..!

not being racist but styles make fights...and he has yet to fight a fighter like mosley or mayweather, ala slick, fast, counter punchers who will make you pay....So to even be consider the greatest on this era with fighters like mosley and Mayweather, around he has to be able to beat at least 1 great black fighter.

ahhhh...so we're back to the 'PAC has to fight a black fighter' angle...good job Horus

I said Pac only because he goes out there and makes the fight. PBF is the best at what he does and that's defend/counter.

Are saying Barrera was in his Prime when he fought Pacquiao?
wow, that is the first time i heard that..

Once again we have to judge fighters on their entire careers not portions when you want to say they are Alll time greater than another fighter...

            I will say this again.

I can go on for days, but you get the point...

Manny Pacquiao is great at what he does.
which is throw alot of punches...and has great great foot work. tremendous lateral movement... And he showed the greatest amount of improvement in a fighter in a period of 5 years that i have ever seen.

But, he is not a better fighter than Mayweather.

I couldn’t have said it better myself. Manny has been consistent in each regard and has been steadily improving as he stepped up the competition as well as moved to higher weight classes. Not to say that Floyd hasn’t, it’s just the matter in which Manny’s opponents were beaten to that of Floyd’s.

                Peace

I have Floyd as the better fighter i.e skills, talent, etc. but I have Pacquiao as a slightly bigger ATG.

not to mention he's asking who the better fighter is. not who's had the best career, who the best fighter is. That implies he means NOW, and he brings up what they were doing 10 years ago ffs.
Its probably still Floyd, but i think he's annoyed that his boy has been scartching his ass for the last 2 years while Manny has been getting the headlines.

Actually, can i change my vote, i wanna vote manny, cos for all i know mayweather has lost it. i've seen no evidence of his greatness recently

All that proves is that Mayweather was given the boxing silver spoon. Manny, while not as polished as PBF, has fought tooth an nail to be where he is and didn't have any of PBF's advantages in life.
