marquez was able to last 24 rounds with manny pacquiao and cotto couldn't last 11 with antonio margarito!



marquez's draw with pacquiao is better than any cotto win.

beating a past prime barrera and casamayor is better than cotto's biggest win which was a past prime mosley.

Unlike Mayweather or Mosley, Cotto has at least FACED 5 out of the 10 on that list and won 4/5 of those fights, with his only loss being to Margacheato. Mayweather has only fought 1 of those welterweights and that's his HOME division and Mosley has only fought 1 of them as well and actually turned down fights from two of them. Yet, Cotto is the weak link because he's faced the BEST in his division and beat them all, but one. I'll even let you call him the weak link but Jesus Christ at least he has the balls to face people in his division, and unlike the other two he doesn't turn down the challenge because there isn't enough money in it. Which is THE exact reason Mosley and Mayweather turned down Berto and Clottey, the risk isn't worth the reward. I'll definitely call Mayweather a ***** for doing it, but Mosley is old and faced the best in his prime which is something Mayweather at his current rate will never get a chance to do.

I didn't mean that Cotto was the worst welterweight out there. I just think he is the weakest out of the top 5 (elite), regardless of his ranking. Paul Williams would have the same opponents on Cotto's resume if somebody would have the balls to fight him. If Zab Judah didn't injure himself, Mosley would have the same exact resume that Cotto has minus Clottey. I give credit to Cotto for fighting these guys. But he didn't win against any of them impressively, except Zab Judah. And the low blows somewhat took the shine off that win on top of Judah being past his sell-by-date. And it is a shame that Mayweather hasn't fought any of these guys, I agree with you about that. I just think Cotto is the most beatable.
