Originally posted by S.G. View PostOrtiz has the raw talent but he's very flawed at the moment. At least overestimated where he currently is, development wise
The quitting thing, meh... It is what it is... I was more disappointed in Victor's actual performance than that mess
I agree and feel the same..although still a fan..it just wasn't him last Saturday..he got ahead of himself..and got too confident after that first KD..he needs to control his emotions in and out of the ring..I'm sure he'll be back..and only he can show us what he's really made of..the next time he's in there with a puncher..

You didn't hear Josh Clottey crying about a REAL rabbit punch after the Cotto win.

I swear I am getting sick and tired of this douche bag Shaeffer.
Victor Ortiz is too happy-go-lucky for me.

The part that scares me about Ortiz is how easy he was getting countered.
Over and over again but a guy that cant really box.
He needs a defensive specialist like Mayweather Sr to train him....seriously.
Victor is young enough to learn unlike Hatton.
Its not the end of the world but his defense is ****....and Vargas was WAY better than this dude at 22.........WAAAAAAAAAAAAY.

As someone else posted, if he wanted to just tap out because things weren't going his way than MMA is the perfect sport for him. Quitting might be okay in MMA, but in boxing it is frowned upon especially when it appears he quit because things weren't going his way in that round.

ortiz is a quitter, got his *ss beat by a fighter he knocked down 3 or more times, that only threw right hand leads, to the head, Victor got saved by the ref, (ref asked ortiz if he wanted to continue? ortiz shook his head, NO. ref pulled him to the corner and TOLD the DR. "STOP THE FIGHT") Saving Ortiz and bull****boy promotions from further embarresement that left another of GBP "MAIN PROTAGE FIGHTER" knocked out!!!!!!!!!!!!! Victor do what your boss has done all his career, challenge ARCE or CALDERON, win then claim greatness. Or lose (like your boss) and claim dehydration>>> what ever sells best!!!!!!!!!!! AGAIN IT'S NOT ABOUT BOXING!! IT'S ABOUT MONEY
