why are you afraid to make the fight at 147lbs. If its at the limit its in all fairness to have the title on the line. No sacrifices should be made. if nothing but pride and honor are on the line I say its ok to go with a catch weight

it's always been like that for many years.....jcc vs pernell at 145 for wbc belt.....how the **** is that a disgrace now when it's always been like that?

It's funny, finally a sanctioning organization is actually TRYING to make a megafight happen. Odd.

Surely, they see the $$$ in the air.

The notoriety of the two fighters supersedes any title belts, in this situation what the WBO or any organization ranks who is irrelevant.

dude...Paul is everyones nightmare from 147-168 i would like to see if Pac would step up to the plate one that bro.

It's cool that pac is taking all the safe fights this late in his career vs guys with glaring holes in their style... I respect Pac for what he has done for his people but he's been fighting a bunch of gift bags. To the average fan he looks good ,but to someone who knows boxing knows he been fighting a bunch of bums on the decline of their careers, minus JMM, who he lost to once.

If Cotto and Pac fight, and Pac wins why should Cotto keep the belt anyways?

And if Cotto wins, he still has the belt. No harm, no foul.

The fight seems like it's going to be made anyways, and the winner will be champ and the loser doesn't deserve anything anyways.

I really don't think either guy cares about the "mandatory" thing anyways.
Cotto and Pac will get great fights anyways regardless what any organization says if they don't fight each other.
